Black Christmas (2006) DVD - When?

I saw this film three times in the theater and had a lot of fun with it. Yes, it's very inferior to the 1974 original (which is tied with 1974's Texas Chain Saw as my favorite horror film) but on its own, I like it. Plus, Lacey's in it, so I was definitely going to see it anyway. I'm surprised it hasn't been announced for a DVD release yet. It seems that when films do poorly at the box office they are announced for a DVD release much faster than those films that rake in the cash. By all accounts, Black Christmas was underperforming. Of course, it didn't help that it played in only 1,500 theaters when the big films get anywhere from 3,000 to 4,000 screens. Rocky Balboa opened on December 20th and it already has a DVD release set for March 20th. Black Christmas opened on December 25th and still no word on the DVD. It's not even playing at my local theater anymore. Its last day was Thursday, January 11th. By the way, which studio is going to be releasing the DVD, Dimension or MGM? Both logos appeared at the beginning of the film. Regardless, I know we'll be getting a very nice 16x9 enhanced 2.35:1 transfer. For special features I'm hoping for a commentary track with most of the actresses (Katie, Lacey, Michelle, etc.) another commentary with the director and writers, the alternate cut of the film, any other deleted scenes, and a lengthy making-of documentary. This needs to be a 2-Disc Set. One thing's for sure - It's going to go great with my 2006 Special Edition and 2002 Collector's Edition DVDs of the 1974 original.

Thanks guys. April 3rd, huh? That's right before my trip out to Los Angeles to see Bob Barker and "The Price Is Right." I'm flying out of George Bush Intercontinental in Houston at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, April 4th and arriving at LAX about three and a half hours later. The show is taping at 2:30 PM Thursday, April 5th.

Are you hinting around for a ride?

No, I've been planning this for several months and am well prepared. I've been wanting to make this trip for years, but never had the opportunity. Now that Bob is retiring (after 35 years on TPIR, 50 on TV) I made time.

Yep. The Blockbuster computer says April 3, 2007 as well. Of course that's not too concrete.
