Just saw it mentioned on thedvdforums that Criterion has licensed this from Paramount for release. Can't wait.

As mentioned in the other thread, Criterion releasing this title was discussed in Criterion's own blog. So the news came straight from the horses's mouth.

Great news, glad they can upgrade on the LD! I'd like to see Paramount also license some of they're other films to Criterion, say, 1492: Conquest of Paradise. It's not like they are doing anything with the rights to that film now (No release still). Anyhow, I will be buying this when it's released for sure.
