I'd like to get this, but I'll hold off for a year for the inevitable Fox double dip. Weak first release as usual.

I also remeber that one of the producers said that they have enough deleted material to do an entire hbo mini series.

For those in Hollywood area...Ken Davitian owns The Dip on Hollywood & Highland...from what I hear he's there on weekends often...if you'd like your DVD signed.

I think the movie itself is worth owning. And if a double dip of this title comes out then I'll get it as well.

Looks like this is the back cover of the R1 DVD? (courtesy of AxelMusic)

That's pretty hilarious...

I'll probably wait for the special edition, but it's going to be hard.

I'll probably just wait until next Tuesday. Some movies are just too hard to not double dip on. When a horse is waiting it's like if a man is waiting.

I was expecting one of the stores to have an exclusive bonus disc....guess I'll have to settle for the Best Buy shirt for now.

I hope all the lawsuits from the lesss-than-fully-informed participants in the filming of this movie don't mean we'll never see the deleted scenes.

I've got a borat preview disc off of the Office Space se, I still haven't poped that in yet but it claims to have deleted scenes and the first 10 minutes of the movie.

Of course, an obvious feature of the unrated special edition will be the removal of the blurry spots from the wrestling match scene... in this case I might be satsfied with keeping the plain vanilla edition.

What blurry spots? Only thing in the wrestling scene was the long black bar over Borat's unit, and that was obviously for comedic purposes.

There are a couple of cool retailer exclusives due with next week's release of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

The Best Buy chain will have a Set For Make Very Nice Gift which includes a "Very Niice" t-shirt.

A better design, however, can be found in Wal-Mart's exclusive Glorious Kazakhstan t-shirt.

No word yet if the other major retailers plan any exclusives.

Best Buy US and Canada have the same "Very Niiice" exclusive shirt... I think I'll go with the Walmart exclusive shirt though...that back cover is hilarious.

Honestly, half of the film is in hidden video and wouldn't benefit from HD. This is sort of like hoping you can see Blair With Project in HD.

However, the HD would still be nice, for scenes that are lit/shot well (rodeo scene).
