I realize that -- what I meant was (and I thought I made it pretty plain) that there is a mix of "I've never seen that" and "I've seen that, but never actually watched the DVD" in everybody's "unwatched" pile. I was just trying to gauge how much of each exists for different people.

Is there like... a regular schedule for "Attack Mike Adams Time"? I just need to know when not to post.

LOL. No regular schedule that I know of but keep referring to yourself in the third person and you're on your way.

I misunderstood. Of my list I'd say 1/3 are things I've already seen.

I think I will try and come up with my list this weekend. It will not be pretty, I would not surprised if it was in excess of 400 "titles", including a lot of TV shows.

I think I will use the following categories to better define them:

Movies
1. Movies that I have never seen in any format or in the theater
2. Movies I have seen in another format or the theater, but never on DVD

I could also add a category of movies that I have upgraded, but never watched the new version (but did so the older version).

TV Shows (I will include non-movie Anime here as well)
1. Shows or seasons I have never seen an episode of in any format
2. Shows or seasons I have only seen a handful of episodes of
3. Shows or seasons I have seen the majority of the episodes, but never on DVD

It will be quite the project.

I like your categories. I might have to break mine down like that as well...

Wish I could be with you, but for me to get through all my unwatched DVDs, it certainly would take more than just 2007.

That's basically my criteria for picking something to watch. Right now I'm working on Wonderfalls & Twilight Zone (2002). Never seen Wonderfalls, and have only seen a handful of TZ (most of which seem to be in the first dozen episodes).

This is the year I really try and do this. I just placed a bunch of the dvds I want to watch in the living room so I can see them at all times. Whenever I want to buy a new one I just look at them and watch one instead, unless a good deal comes along like $25 fobidden planet tin.

So far I finished
World at War (this is big considering it has like 30 hrs in it)

Up next
Prisoner megaset
Superman Ultimate Collection
James Bond mega set 1 and 2

The gorilla on my back is the entire Highlander television set which I got cheap a couple years back

Came to a disturbing conclusion today. I am attempting to watch all of Star Trek this year. There are about 750 episodes, plus the movies, so I have to average almost 2 hours a day to finish.

But what is even more disturbing is that by estimating using shelf space, my ST DVDs are perhaps only one fifteenth or so of my "unwatched on dvd" collection.

My sig line is perhaps more true than I initially conjectured.

I don't believe I'll watch all from my list, but it's a good motivator to start watching some of the stuff I've bought over the years.

Just found out disc #2 from Season 1 of Miami Vice is missing

That's why I open my DVDs when I get them...it's happened to me one too many times... (Assuming it was packaged like that, and you didn't lose it or lend it out)

Slowly making my list, up to nearly 200 movies so far (that fall into the never seen on any format category) and many, many TV shows. This is with only about half my collection.

Now I don't feel so bad about mine. I'm slowly adding ones to my list that I've seen before, but just not on DVD. My list started out with just ones I've never seen before on any format
