Watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind first, it's my favorite film of all time. After that, move to Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid. After you watch that one, watch it again with the William Goldman commentary track (if you have the new release that is).

Cool sabrett. I plan on keeping my post updated. I wish you luck, your list is a lot longer than mine. On your tv list I recommend Lost & Smallville, they are easy to fly through.

Started out 2007 with a bang and watched the Transporter 2 while I worked on this list. Fun little romp. Silly plot but damn Jason Statham is charismatic and and excellent action star. Every action movie could use a bit of Statham. I wonder if there are plans for a third.

I love Eternal Sunshine. I should have stated that I've seen 11 on my movie list, but I bought all these movies after the fact and they have sat unwatched. Half of them still in the shrink wrap. Stuff like T3, Ep. III, Narnia, Batman & Serenity I saw in the theater but picked up on DVD and have yet to watch them. As for Eternal Sunshine, I borrowed a friends copy and ended up buying the Holland SE and just haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

I, however, have not seen Butch Cassidy though. I love the Sting and BC&tSK is obviously a classic so I have my hopes up.

here's mine.
According to DVDprofiler, 242 titles, 151 unwatched, although a few of those were for my boy or my wife, so I have no interest in watching them, but they're still in DVDP.
Some of the series or sets are 'in progress', like Elm St, Monty Python, Xena, etc. I got to check off two titles today, yay. I blew threw Arrested Development S1 in like a week.
On the positive side, there's really not many titles out there or soon to be released (that I am aware of) that I'm really interested in.
On the negative side, I've got 50 bucks credit at DVDPlanet I need to use. And on the negative side, the below list accounts for far too many minutes of viewing time.
Some of these I've seen before, but not on DVD, or not this copy of the DVD.

edit: I cheated. I sold off/traded a few titles, so my count according to DVDP is 147/236, and I just started disk 3 of Arrested Development S2.
I've italicized the titles that are totally new to me, not just in this format/on this disk, and deleted a few titles I've sold or traded. I've also put a "!" in front of titles that aren't mine, so I most likely won't be checking them off.

I probably shouldn't have done this--I just checked the "running time" column on my DVDP export for unwatched titles...47982 minutes according to it. And there's at least two titles which don't have running time data. Yeah, I'm not going to be able to watch everything this year.

Current stats according to DVDPro: 147/241.

Yes, I will slow down to almost nothing now. I have around 20 DVDs and 3-400 LD's and 30 VHS that I have not seen yet. So I most see them now.

I can't even count how many unwatched I have. Tons of TV shows as well . As others have said, it's hard to cut back on buying when so many good deals pop up. I'm gonna have to lay out a viewing schedule. My oldest unviewed disc is EDtv. I got it went it first came out and never opened it.

I think this is actually impossible for me to do, even if I watched DVDs for 8 hours a day during the week and 16 hours a day on the weekend.

There's no way I can watch all mine without quitting my job. I so far have at least 100-150 unwatch movies, box sets, & tv shows.

(Voice in my head "Must buy more!")

I remember the days of having no unwatched pile, but now mine has gotten huge. The summer usually sees it go down, but right now its quite extensive.

Some highlights

The Entire Hitchock Ultimate Boxset minus Rear Window (why....haven't....I....watched...more)
The Entire Ultimate Superman Collection (waiting on replacement disc for pt. I)
The Green Mile SE
Talladega Nights
World Trade Center 3 Disc
Good, The Bad, and the Ugly 2 disc
Very Long Engagement 2 disc
Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut Bonus Discs
From Dusk 'Til Dawn
Spy Game
Batman & Robin
Friday The 13th (4 on)

I have told myself no more random buys even if they are cheap...I finally got through a few of those. Good movies, but it shouldn't feel like a chore.

I'm slowly working towards that goal too. I made a dent in the pile over the holiday but I still have a healthy amount of unopened discs to go.
