Hopefully FOX will also release the director's cut of "From Beyond" during this sci-fi promotion...

This doesn't necessarily come as a surprise--but, according to this post over at HorrorDVDs.com MGM is not planning on including any extras for NOTC.

I'm just glad to finally have it on DVD.

Filmmaker, you've been here long enough to be well aware of the forum rules against thread crapping. If you aren't interested in the DVD, then just don't post in the thread.

Wow, I forgot all about doing so, but fair enough and duly noted. I guess somehow I'm always believing (hoping) that the occasional threadcrap will blossom into a spirited discussion. My apologies for the lapse.

Kelli Maroney, the cheerleader from Night of the Comet, is a frequent poster on the films IMDB message board. She apparently tried to purchase the rights herself a few years back in hopes that she could release a jam packed DVD with tons of extra stuff, but alas, she discovered that MGM had the rights.

She offered to do a commentary, and MGM flat out turned her down.

Anyone have any artwork for this DVD yet?

This is why I'd love to see a website with downloadable mp3 commentaries. Does such a thing exist?

www.rifftrax.com

also, with the spider-man dvd, if you put it in your computer it could take you to a site where you could download commentaries that people made as well as let you upload your own.

i mentioned on another board that if kelli maroney really does wanna do a commentary, she should do one of those mp3 as mentioned. i think its a great idea for actors and films that studios really have no interest in spending too much money on.

If someone mentioned it to her on IMDB maybe she'd do it.

I'm starting to think that the NOTC DVD-R bootleg that was released a few months ago is better than this will turn out to be. Damn shame.

Interesting how the campaign has shifted from serious to absolute camp. Regardless of how the film plays today, they've made a major mistake here.

Do you think there'll be any music in Night of the Comet that MGM will change on this DVD?

Buddy, that is very nice!
Isn't it funny that 99.9% of modern Photoshop hack-jobs by studios are worse than the original one-sheets.

The description on the back of your cover isn't all that good, maybe you should just re-type what the back of the VHS says. Other than that, though, GREAT cover, seriously!

That's pretty much what it says on the back of the vhs cover.
