8 minutes of new footage doesn't even seem worth my time or attention, so I'll gladly stick with the original release. What I don't know won't hurt me.

IGN has a review up from last week that talks about the added footage.

Does anyone know if this comes with a ticket for Spiderman 3?

That IGN review made it sound like a much more substantial DVD set than I was expecting. I'll pick it up if I find it used.

The IGN review may have sold me on it. I wonder how the picture quality/sound quality will compare to the current S2 editions?

Just like Daredevil and Punisher, looks like I'll have 2 versions of Spider-Man 2 on DVD.

Beware: there's a spoiler for Spider-Man 3 near the end of the IGN review, which pissed me right off. The best part is that right after it, the reviewer arrogantly explains why it's "not a spoiler." What an asshole.

Well, it is in the trailers. But I agree, he should have given a heads-up beforehand for anyone who wanted to skip it.

There hasn't been an official word on whether this includes a ticket to Spider-Man 3, has there?

Got a screener and it didn't have a ticket inside...everything else seemed like the final packaging though, so I'm going to guess "no" at this point.

Well, that sux, I thought it would be a no-brainer. Now I'll just get it whenever I get around to it, instead of getting it right away.

Same with my screener, but that doesn't rule out there being some kind of store exclusive tickets or something.

Still, at this point I'm guessing Sony knows people are going to pay anyway, so why bother with the free tickets?

Sounds good. I don't have any of the DVDs so I'll buy this when it comes out along with Spider-Man Deluxe Edition.

Maybe Best Buy might have some tickets for Spider-Man 3 but I doubt it since Sony wants to make $$$.

Yeah. Studios seem to only do free tickets for new, non sequel movies because they want to get everyone in the theater. In the case of Spider-Man 3, Sony knows it's gonna make a gajillion dollars. No need to provide any incentive.

I haven't picked it up yet so I'll probably be grabbing this one, especially if the price is right.

I hope there is tickets but I agree there isn't much need as this will do fine without it.

Didn't Best Buy have an exclusive free ticket for Pirates 2? They could do the same for this film. The free ticket isn't needed to help Spidey 3's box office, but it would help people to re-buy part 2 again.

Is this new 2.1 two discs or one? I've seen websites advertise 2 discs but the review makes it sound like only one.

Also, it ther anything changed or cut out from the previous version or are the changes 100% limited to new material?

So what is the run time of the second disc? The review on this site doesn't talk about many extras, certainly not enough to warrant a second disc.

Reports over in the Bargin's Forum claim that some Wal-Marts have this out early AND it comes with a 3rd Bonus Disc (Spider-Man 3's Villains).
