DVD Talk Limited Edition
Dead Like Me, the Office, and Horatio Hornblower were all really good TV blind buys for me. I guess Dead Like Me if I had to pick just one, I really liked that show a lot.
Angel and Curb Your Enthusiasm are really good too, but not quite blind buys since I saw an episode or two of each when they were on.

The Patrick McGoohan "Danger Man" 30 minute shorts from A&E (but my copies are the R2 editions since they came out first and ended up being cheaper).
Loved The Prisoner and wasn't disappointed with Danger man

I don't have HBO or Showtime so I usually wait for word of mouth and great deals on those shows if I'm interested. So far I haven't been let down by my choices. I just ordered The Wire, The L-word and The Comeback blind from the DDD sale so I'll see how those worked out when they arrive.
Six Feet Under
Dead Like Me
Band of Brothers
Sex and the City (got 1-4 so far)
Sopranos (got 1-3 so far)
Mr. Show
Penn & Teller Bullshit (got 1&2 so far)
Also it's pretty rare when I miss out on a show that I should like on a non-premium channel, but it happens sometimes. Here's a few I was late to the party with and didn't see until the DVD:
Battlestar Galactica (bought seasons 1 and 2.0-watched the rest as it aired)
Arrested Development (bought season 1 and watched the rest as it aired)
Veronica Mars (bought season 1 and 2 and watched the rest as it aired)
Babylon 5 (very late to the party with this one)

Undeclared was hilarious.
I just recently bought BROTHERHOOD from Showtime, and it is a phenomenal show. I loved it. And it was cheap, too! I think I paid $17.99 for the first season. The second season starts next year.
What else...VERONICA MARS Season one was amazing. PRISON BREAK was too. I finished it in a weekend. Couldn't tear myself away.

I usually don't blind buy things, because I like to know that I'll like it first. Firefly is probably the closest one to a blind buy that I am glad I got. I only saw 1 or 2 episodes on TV, but didn't care much for it then.
The Weird Al Show I just blind bought, but I've been a Al fan for years and saw an episode or 2 on TV, so I kind of know what to expect.

Easily the Sopranos. I missed the first couple of seasons on HBO.
