Even my Denon 2200 studdered on this, and it never shows layer changes. Freaked me out. Not sure what they did to make it this bad, but something is odd about it.

Can anyone confirm this or do I have a bad disk. This is the second copy Ive picked up?

Agreed! BRUTAL!, and for those of us that have seen many films in this genre, I felt that this definately did not disappoint! Hostel was tough...Hills have eyes, (remake), was tough as well...but this was tougher IMO. I've heard Saw 3 ups the ante in the brutalness as well. Can't wait to see it tommorow!

I feel like I'm in elementary school with an old lady teacher checking a student's spelling...

this movie was ok. i wish they showed him in school when the kids were making fun of him and what his childhood was like in general. they just showed the 20 year olds getting killed there was no real storyline just your hack and slash film but it was a good hack and slash film.
i am one of the few that have like all of the TCM movies i thought TCM 2 with Dennis Hooper was a good movie. TCM: the next gen was the only one i wasn't a huge fan of.
as in regards to the layer change with the studdering i did not experence any problems with ch.15, 4:04. i doubt its the player its probally the shipments of the disc sent out to the store.

:) What are we saying about ourselves when we can't wait to see new lows in brutality and gore?

Also having a problem with the layer change, and I've never experienced a layer change issue with any other disc. Should an exchange fix this?

mzupeman2 01-29-07 07:45 PM

Well, did my exchange and the same problem... in the same place.

Anybody who purchased the regular rated edition have an issue? I'm pretty much willing to downgrade to the original if that's what it'll take to get a fix for this stupid issue. There wasn't that much of a difference in this unrated edition anyway.

I'm sure it's all the same on all dvds of the film, and or it's just your player that's having a tough time handling it. So just keep the dvd since their is nothing you can do about it at this point.

mzupeman2 01-30-07 05:01 AM

Well my PC can whip through it fine, my second DVD player in my bedroom can't. The DVD player I use now is from a home theater in a box that's only two years old at this point, and out of a collection of nearly 1,000 DVD's this is the only one to have ever done it. I'll assume the disc and the player won't go together well, but I'll still have to say that's some pretty terrible authoring.
