Some pretty good deals listed here, but I was expecting to see some more people with better steals than these, but maybe I've just been lucky (or frugal, cheap, whatever!)
Since my "rule" of buying dvds is never pay more than $10 for anything, it also applies to CC's.
I have 39 or 40 CC's, all purchased for $10 or less, a lot of them bought used for $5 from a friend at work (thanks Donnie!), and a few others received as gifts.

Yeah, I know I am pretty lucky to have a friend like him. Unfortunately, he says he's narrowed his collection down to the essentials, so I don't expect to get any more deals, but he does still have a few CC's left which I will be all over if he sells them. If I mentioned some of the titles I got for $5, people would shit their pants. I don't want to rub it in.
Someone's got to be getting good deals like this too, it can't just be me.

OK, the 3 biggies I was thinking of are the OOP Hitchcock's from the boxset:
Rebecca, Notorious, and Spellbound. After counting, turns out I have 42 titles now.
Here's my full list:

Used From Donnie:
$5.00 Band Of Outsiders (The Criterion Collection #174)
$4.00 Branded To Kill (Criterion Collection #38)
$5.00 Down By Law (The Criterion Collection #166)
$8.00 Eyes Without A Face (The Criterion Collection #260)
$4.00 Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas (Criterion Collection #175)
$4.00 Harakiri (Criterion Collection #302)
$3.75 Insomnia (The Criterion Collection #47)
$4.00 Le Cercle Rouge (Criterion Collection #218)
$8.00 M (2-disc SE) (The Criterion Collection #30)
$5.00 Man Bites Dog (The Criterion Collection #165)
$4.00 Night And The City (Criterion Collection #274 )
$4.00 Notorious (The Criterion Collection #137)
$4.00 Pickup On South Street (Criterion Collection #224)
$4.00 Rashomon (The Criterion Collection #138)
$8.00 Rebecca (The Criterion Collection #135)
$4.00 Rififi (The Criterion Collection #115)
$4.00 Seven Samurai (1st release) (The Criterion Collection #2)
$4.29 Spellbound (The Criterion Collection #136)
$4.00 Stray Dog (Criterion Collection #233)
$4.00 The Bad Sleep Well (Criterion Collection #319)
$8.00 The Honeymoon Killers (The Criterion Collection #200)
$5.00 The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou (Special Edition 2-Disc Set - Criterion Collection #300)
$8.00 The Long Good Friday (The Criterion Collection #26)
$4.00 The Sword Of Doom (Criterion Collection #280 )
$4.00 The Vanishing (The Criterion Collection #133)
$4.00 Throne Of Blood (Criterion Collection #190)
$4.00 Tokyo Drifter (Criterion Collection #39)
$4.00 Touchez Pas Au Grisbi (The Criterion Collection #271)
$4.29 Yojimbo (The Criterion Collection #52)
$4.00 Youth Of The Beast (Criterion Collection #268)

FreeDVDs.com:
$3.71 Straw Dogs (The Criterion Collection #182)

Columbia House:
$6.24 8 1/2 (The Criterion Collection #140)
$2.99 Hearts & Minds (The Criterion Collection #156)
$5.06 The Red Shoes (The Criterion Collection #44)
$7.47 The Ruling Class (The Criterion Collection #132)
$6.24 The Third Man (The Criterion Collection #64)

Best Buy:
$10.00 Chasing Amy (Criterion Collection #75)

Blockbuster (Used):
$5.00 The Royal Tenenbaums (The Criterion Collection #157)

Gifts:
$0.00 Brazil (1st release) (The Criterion Collection #51)
$0.00 Do The Right Thing (Criterion Collection #97)
$0.00 Grand Illusion (The Criterion Collection #1)
$0.00 Naked Lunch (The Criterion Collection #220)

I think it's funny that the most expensive title I got was Chasing Amy for $10, one of the more common and well known titles. That wasn't much of a bargain considering it's low price point.

I got Rushmore: CC as part of a two pack at K-Mart a few years ago for $18.95 for both. Not the least I've paid for a DVD but probably the most satisfying buy I've ever made.

I got Robocop for less than 2$ at gamestop. (it was in the dump bin that was 3 for 6$ or something and combined with b2g1, I also got a SuperFriends set in that same purchase)

Thats the only one besides Royal Ten. and The Ruling Class, that I got for less than 10.

Oh, I also got Armageddon for free at a garage sale, but it was in pretty bad shape.

Free? Were you combining coupons or did you have another strategy? I used to get free dvd's from whatshotnow.com but don't recall too many freebies from Reel. A lot of $10 & $20 off coupons from Reel. Lots and Lots of coupons and multiple accounts. Those were the days.

I didn't list in my original post any that I got as gifts, since I didn't think that was really what this thread was going for. But if it's all about bragging, I'll toot my own horn graciously.

For the past 2 years, pretty much all I've asked for at Christmas and birthdays are Criterions. Here's the ginormous gift list:

If you count CC laserdiscs, it would be Last Tango in Paris (sealed) for $0.25
