I'll get it. I know that Yoda will be redone as CGI for Episode I. I am crossing my fingers for deleted scenes and bloopers from IV, V and VI. It's not just the movies either, there is going to be a blitzkrieg of merchandise as well to be sure.

Vintage, or modern.
lol I don't own any presently. I don't think my son would take too kindly to me eating his Galatic Heroes Boba Fett before he gets it for Christmas, so let's go modern. If I get that Boba Fett with the queer jet pack exhaust base, I'll eat that motherf*cker too. That is how sure I am we won't be seeing any anamorphic versions of the original, unaltered Star Wars trilogy on this 30th Anniversary box set.

Edited to add that I will glady crap high-impact plastic for a week, just to get anamorphic versions. :crys:

Why? Were you not interested in the O-OT versions that were included in the LE or do you think that there will be a better O-OT version in the 30th anniversary set?

I can only speak for myself, but A) I'd rather live with my LDs than pay Lucas for such a pathetic attempt. And B) I do think there's a slim chance there'll be better O-OT versions in the 30th set.

No I got them free, from a disgruntled big box store employee

I imagine there will not be original versions in the 30th set only in the Limited double dip on HD-DVD will they bring them back out, and they arn't really the original anyway, they dubbed over sounds all over the place and enchanced the lightsaber scenes (yes I know thats how it was on the LD)

Yeah, that's the way to go -- don't like the way the store's treating you, steal from them and maybe they'll fire you so you can REALLY be mad at them.

At least they're not bootlegs.

I almost plunked down about $100 for the LDs and another $100 for a LD player about a year ago when it looked like they would never be issued on DVD. That's the reason I had no problem buying them for about $50.
