Child's Play SE?
With MGM putting out SE versions of Road House and TCM 2 this year, why don't they come out with a Child's Play SE? I've been holding out forever.

Childs Play is available in R4 (not a SE) .

Yes, something anamorphic in its OAR would be all I ask. It doesn't even have to be perfect quality... although no reason we couldn't get a nice transfer on it with how nice compression standards have become.

Wasn't there a rumor that MGM lost the Childs Play movie in a fire thus no OAR but where did they get the one for R4?

At this point in the game, where distribution of flicks is a largely profitable business with your double dips and what-not...
...if this movie was torched in some fire, it would be an absolute shame. I know distribution wasn't all the rage when Child's Play first came out, but don't companies even way back when, realise the future potential for any film released? They should keep everything protected, these films are an investment for these companies!
Ah well, harping on it won't help us now. Hopefully they have something in the OAR that we don't know about, and hopefully we'll see it next year for halloween.

Here are some caps. R1 is on the left. The frames aren't exactly the same due to the difference in running time but close enough to get the idea. The images have also been reduced in size by 75%.
