The list of films are on both spines.

Ah. But what are you gonna do with the booklets? They won't fit in the dvd cases.

And does anyone know how much Costco is charging for these - I may just end up getting them all if they have them at a low enough price, say, under $55.

Haha. Actually I did. And the one thing that really stuck with me was the Jaws character!

My first two movies at the theater were Star Wars and The Spy Who Loved Me and I absolutely loved them both.

I don't know the Costco price, but you can get them next week at CC or BB for under $55 each. CC will have them for $54.99 each and will take off $15 if you buy both making them $47.49 each ($94.98 total). Best Buy's deal is that you can get both sets for $99.99 if you purchase them together.

Fuck.

That's the one thing messing this up for me. I think the sets look great, I love the thinpaks, and the order didn't bother me too much, since I planned to reorder them all chronologically anyway. The titles listed on the spine throws a curveball to that plan.

Any other pics. I would really like to see different angles, especially how they look while still in the box from the ends. Want to see how those books are packaged.

What part of title wrecks the plan of puting them in order? Do they say Vol. 1 on them?

That's a great deal - Thanks, I didn't know that. I was just assuming Amazon had the biggest discount. Will CC have this same deal for volumes 3 & 4 next month?

These 2 pics seem to show that they are just loose in the box:

They are loose in the box but don't rattle around or anything — I'm currently working my way through the set for review and hope to have something up either later today or tomorrow. Visually .... wow, just wow. The audio isn't quite as amazing as I thought it might be, but it's still pretty incredible. I haven't yet begun to wade through the supplements either, but at first glance, I'd say anyone who hasn't yet bought Bond on DVD would be silly to pass these sets up.

I went to walmart today and saw some of my former co-workers, and talked them into letting me see the Bond sets in the back. They're thicker than I expected, but specific titles on both sides kills it for me.

Heres some pics:

Looks like each of the books would easily fit inside the individual slim cases. Wonder why they didn't put them in there?

The likely upcoming "dare not utter thy name" sale should have them for less than that (about $93 for both), with no sales tax to boot (except in IL, wink-wink).

Not even close - they're the two-disc style slim-cases where the two hubs opposite each other lock together when the case is closed - if you had a booklet in there, the case wouldn't close.

I wish they had of left the titles off the side of the box, and instead stuck them on a removable promo sheet on the back or something. I would have liked to put the in chronological order... can't really do that with the names on the box.

I hate the fact that they aren't chronological and how awesome would it have been if they released all the movies in one big set?

I'm not crazy about the slim cases either, but the space saving factor is really nice.

Looks like those pictures have resolved my shelving problem. I'll re-order them by release date in the boxes and only shelve the inner containers. I'll put the outer box portion away into storage.

It's not my preferred solution but it'll work in a pinch.

I'm finally purchasing the Bond movies on DVD with this new release. Althought, it would have been nice to have one big release set instead of four different volumes.
