"SLiTHER" on DVD this October
From JamesGunn.com:
---------------------- 1) The SLiTHER DVD is coming out in October. Just in time for Halloween. Maybe I've never said that before, but over the last few days I've had an onslaught of emails asking me when it's coming out. However, I do not have an exact date yet. 2) I hear the soundtrack is being released simultaneously with the DVD, which is probably a good idea. |
Nice. Hopefully this will get a simultaneous HD-DVD release so I have something cool to play on the Xbox 360 player come Halloween. :)
Can't wait.
I love the song over the end credits, hilarious and catchy:D
Cool, I'll actually be able to SEE it now.

I can't wait either. Count me in.
Excellent - was great fun seeing this in the theater.

I too missed this theatrically during the 7 days or so it was playing. Looking forward to the DVD.

I somehow missed it in both first and second run theaters, I swear that the second run theater pulled it out mid-week. Anyways, heard real good things, looking forward to the DVD.
this movie was really fun.. Me and my buddy rushed out to see this opening night. Totally worth it. You'll have a great time watching it.

I'll pass.
I saw it in the theaters, and didn't really care for it. It wasn't horrible, just... dissappointing. |
Hopefully there's going to be a lot of extras like BTS featurettes and the like. I never saw this movie in theaters but I'm definitely picking it up when it comes out.

From DVDActive.com:
http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/slither.html Title: Slither Starring: Elizabeth Banks Released: 24th October 2006 SRP: $29.98 & $39.98 Further Details: Universal Home Video has revealed early details on horror flick Slither which stars Elizabeth Banks, Nathan Fillion and Gregg Henry. The film will be available to own from the 24th October, and should set you back around $29.98. A HD DVD release will also be available for $39.98. The film will receive an anamorphic widescreen transfer, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track. The extra material has yet to be revealed for this one I'm afraid, but we'll bring you further details very shortly. Stay tuned for that. |
Finally an actual date announced, I've been waiting for this for some time. This was one of my favorite films I've seen in a while, definitely going to pick it up, and I heard that it will be packed full of totally rad extras.
Looks like your Halloween Movie-a-Thons will be a blast this year.
I realize that you will pay less than SRP at the store or online, but $29.98 sounds high to me. In this day of even 2-disc special editions regularly selling for under $20, it sounds "off". I don't normally pay attention to the SRP but does that seem strange to anyone else?
I missed this at the theater. Can't wait to check it out. |

On week one, Nanny McPhee was $16.99 at Target, ...Block Party was $13.99 at Circuit City, and The Producers was $16.99 at Target and Circuit City. I don't think there's any real cause for concern. |
I've never seen this film, but I will definitely be blind-buying it, due to all of the positive reviews that I have read. I wanted to see it in theatres, but I never got the chance.
We've got full details, including the extras. This is looking to be a packed disc!
Check out all the details here |
"Brewin' The Blood", This is was I've been waiting for all my life,Heh. Most anticipated DVD release of 2006 for me.
I tried searching for Gregg Henry's Mr. Pibb rant (when they escape in the car) elsewhere, but couldn't find it. This was my favorite part of the film. Does anyone happen to remember it or know where I could find a transcript online? Sorry if this is too off-topic but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway since the DVD doesn't come out until October.

I like the theatrical one sheet better, but I like the R1 DVD cover.
