I remember this from last year and remember doing okay enough to warrant another try...
I browsed your collection, compared to mine, and put together an order from dvds I own and you do not with each title belonging to a different genre for variety.
THE THING (CE) $7.48 - scifi/horror
UNFORGIVEN (2DISC/SE) $16.45 - western
THE UNTOUCHABLES $6.27 - crime
THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER $6.22 - espionage/military
JOY RIDE $5.74 - suspense/thriller
ABOUT A BOY (WS) $6.82 - comedy(you own a lot of Hugh Grant titles)
Your Subtotal: $ 48.98
I didn't look at your wish list or through either this thread or the old one so hopefully nobody put together the same order as me...

I'll bite...
SPIDER FOREST $ 14.88
EVENT HORIZON (CE) $ 10.84
GINGER SNAPS $ 5.74
SESSION 9 $ 7.58
FREAKS $ 10.69
Your Subtotal: $ 49.73
You seem like a pretty big horror & sci-fi fan... I don't know how you cannot own Event Horizon. I checked like five times because I couldn't believe that wasn't in your collection, so I hope I didn't miss anything. Matter of fact, all except for Spider Forest & Ginger Snaps, I couldn't believe you didn't have the other two either.

Ok, everyone else stop submitting. Here is the winning entry:
Event Horizon CE $10.84
Dark City $4.79
To Catch a Thief $4.79
The Gift $6.27
Serpico $ 4.79
Following $ 4.80
Lost In Translation $7.58
Bottle Rocket $ 4.79
Total = $48.65
Here is a brief explanation:
Event Horizon CE ($10.84) -- A great sci-fi movie, but also probably the scariest/freakiest movie I have ever seen. And you can't hate on Laurence "Morpheus" Fishburne. Plus, the CE of this dvd has great audio, visual, and extras.
Dark City ($4.79)-- Worth it for the Ebert commentary alone, but also is a wonderful, thought-inducing movie. And Jennifer Connelly is very yummy.
To Catch a Thief ($4.79)-- Hitchcock and Cary Grant on the cheap. Plus, along with Lifeboat (which you own), this is one of the few Hitchcock movies not in either of the WB or Universal boxset collections.
The Gift ($6.27)-- Directed by Sam Raimi, this is a very good mystery-suspense-thriller. Plus you get to see Katie Holmes' hoo-hahs. Best hoo-hah scene in film in a very long time. Plus, this is one of those "make you think about it afterwards" movies.
Serpico ($4.79)-- Al Pacino is one of his best performances. Plus, great directing work by Sidney Lumet. A hallmark of 70s cinema and a treat if you enjoy character performances.
Following ($4.80)-- If you liked Memento, you can't go wrong giving this a shot for less than five bucks. Nice extras too.
Lost In Translation ($7.58)-- I love Scarlett, but this movie would work wonderfully even without her beauty. A perfect Bill Murray vehicle. Great performances here, and Coppola captures the emotions perfectly. One of my favoriate films from 2004.
Bottle Rocket ($4.79)-- Wes Anderson teaming up with the Wilson boys to have a good time. Just a great partnership doing what they do best. And again, for under five bucks, this is a steal.
So there you have it.
8 movies.
Scares, laughs, boobies, and character pieces.
An eclectic collection, but all films that are highly rewatchable.
Enjoy.

Went all foreign with this order:
BROTHER $ 15.31 x = $ 15.31
SUICIDE CLUB (UR) $ 7.24 x = $ 7.24
AUDITION $ 9.89 x = $ 9.89
ZATOICHI-BLIND SWORDSMAN/SONATINE $ 11.13 x = $ 11.13
CHUNGKING EXPRESS $ 5.08 x = $ 5.08
Takeshi Kitano is a brilliant director/action in Brother & Zatoichi, imo... the best in Japan.
Good mix of action/myster/horror with a few laughs thrown in from our good friends across the pacific.

Here's my entry. Two box sets that highlight two very talented actors with great range. It also fills a gap in your collection of having few older movies. The total is 51.05 but I would be willing to send you 1.05 to cover the difference. You get 10 movies total. I'll change it if it must stay under $50.
Cary Grant Signature Series -- 21.89
Alec Guinnesss Collection -- 29.16
Total 51.05

towbinaj, he's stated multiple times, even for someone who squeaked past $50 by only a few cents, that it must not go over $50-zero-zero.

If he was serious or not, now that's another question.
