Jesse...love that collection. It looks really similar to mine and my boyfriend's collection. We own the 3D posters too...and I love all the gift sets!

Nothing exciting, but I just took the jump to a widescreen TV. I still need to break down and get a surround system eventually. I'd love to decorate the wall with posters and such, but my wife won't allow me to "ruin" the living room...sigh.

I'm getting Directv HD this week, so I'm waiting to see the quality of satelite improve when that happens.

Thanks!

Yeah, it's Ikea. Looks great for only $99 and ended up matching the Target DVD storage unit we picked up, too.

You just made my day! My gf mocks me a bit for how anal I am when it comes to getting my posters aligned just right. Glad someone appreciates the hard work! :)

Nothing special to it. (Really. I HATE math.): I just measure the width and height of the wall where I want to hang the pics. Then I measure the width of the framed posters. I'll subtract that # from the wall width and do some easy calculations with the remaining # to get equal spacing between each pic. Repeat with height. Nine pics was relatively simple as I only really had to find the center of the space, center one pic, and go outward and upward from there.

I can't recommend enough a laser level (you can lightly mark where you want your nails with a pencil) and a tape measure.

Not sure if that made any sense at all, but that process has worked really well for me so far. When you get your prints up on your wall, post the pics here!

At the OC swap meet in Costa Mesa, CA. A vendor there sells 11X17s for about $10 each, no tax.

Wow - that's a lot of figures. I'd hate to have to do the dusting there...

Rendle 02-19-07 04:32 PM

WOW! This is the best thread ever. I'll try and get some pictures up when I get home from school. Love when you throw all the toys in!

The No Man 02-19-07 05:24 PM

WOW Lecithin, that has the be the sickest stash I've seen in this thread. I am particularly pleased to see you have sections for Pee-Wee and Matt & Trey stuff. Also happy to see you have all the Looney Tunes Golden Collections. You sure have some great stuff, but then again...what don't you have!?!? Excellent work my friend! Good luck getting through it all!

BlueCC 02-19-07 05:52 PM

That is an odd arrangement, Lecithin. I would be in constant of fear of grabbing a DVD only to have a chain reaction of things falling off shelves.

Lecithin 02-19-07 05:55 PM

Thanks for the comments. I usually don't have much problem getting the discs out around the figures (but then again, with so many discs, I don't usually get to watch them more than the one time anyway). It's still not as bad as my comics action figure collection down in my office, that's a nightmare with falling down chain reactions!

visitor Q 02-19-07 06:01 PM

Lecithin .. just looking at your collection of goodies makes me feel like a kid again!! Very nice ...

^ Got any pics of those? I'd like to see it.

Lecithin,
amazing work! It looks beautiful and it's nice to see someone who appears to love just about everything, instead of all the hate for a change!

Overpar 02-19-07 08:16 PM

Lecithin,

Are you the 40-year-old virgin!?!?!? Just kidding!!! Great creativity. Makes me regret not buying The Punisher figure when it was in the stores. Nice Charlie Brown, too!

Why don't you have Pee-Wee's Christmas Special?

LOL, You know you are in trouble when the obsessive geek in the movie has fewer figures than YOU, LOL, (and you use LOL when you post). Actually my wife and I have been married for 21 years and have two teenage kids and we all enjoy that HT room (well, okay, I'm the only one who enjoys the action figures, but they humor me.)

Lee Harvey, I do have photos of the other figures, but don't want to clog up a DVD board with them. (Okay, just two)

Awesome stuff! Just glad to see figures out and displayed instead of in packages. :)

I thought about it, but then I decided I didn't want to get too many DVDs in the house and look like some kind of crazy person.
