I have a Hyundai Elantra and have bought many things from IKEA without having a problem. Since your seats go down, you should be fine as long as you are not bringing anyone with for the backseat. At worse case your boxes might stick out a little, but they will have rope you can use to tie your trunk down.

Thanks for all the nice comments. All those figures probably seem overwhelming, but believe me, on some of the action figure collecting boards I would not even rate in the top 10 compared to some of those collectors who REALLY have huge collections (I mean life-sized figures and whole armies of the same figure, etc.) Whenever I feel like I have gone over the top, I can always look at those collections and not feel too crazy, heh.

I got that glass curio cabinet from Big Lots for $99.

thanks to everyone who responded about the billy bookcases!

IMO, Ikea's BONDE series (if you have the room) is a little better quality...

I just dont understand why you would go to such unbelievable lengths to do this? I can understand collecting things, i like to collect stuff too. But why do some of these guys have like 300 of the same figure !??? If you collect dvds do you have 300 copies of scarface ? No you have one if your a normal person. Or 2 (the plain version and nice version) if your avid.

Lets see, besides the wii, you also have the Lord of the Rings Rivendell Framed art (signed by Peter Jackson, Richard Taylor, and Alan Lee) above my setup, as well as the caged Hedwig the Owl Noble Collection in the left hand corner- not to mention the super rare Neon Genesis Evangelion Paul Champagne Limited Edition Metal Case.

Just some DVDs and a PS3. Righht.. not exactly a $100K invested, but classy yes?

Troop building. In the films/shows there were more than one so why not your
collection if that's what you're into. A dvd is an entirely different type of collectable.

Not too far removed from collecting 500 copies of Catcher in the Rye, if ya know what I mean. But thats just me; if "troop building" is your thing, go for it.

It's not my thing, I just knew what it was called. If there's a film/show that
revolves around 500 copies of rye than I guess it's similar :) If you mean it's
overdoing it, then ya, I'd agree.

I hope I'm not getting too off topic here, but my response to this would be that to many people buying two copies of a DVD would be as absurd as buying multiple copies of a toy. I've double dipped in the past, but actually keeping two copies of the same movie doesn't make sense. Worrying about the case the DVD is in doesn't make sense. Not buying used DVDs because someone else touched them doesn't make sense. But I understand that these things are important to some people so more power to them.

This is my favorite movie the EVIL DEAD and my home theater system

Perhaps you could have mentioned that in your original post? I'm guilty of not posting my set-up specs, too, but to many, it would appear that you just have a very cool PC/console set-up. Highlighting the rarities you mention above would have added a whole lot of context to your pic.

Just sayin'.

And the funniest thing about the post was this follow-up comment in that toy forum:

Simply amazing!! I really love the way the colors seem to go together in the displays and dios.

or it's called taking care of you dvds, its not that hard. wash you hands before you touch the cases, don't hold the discs like an ediot and your dvds will look just like new.
so many people treat there dvds like shit and wonder why they don't work properly. its like people think the things are indestructible or something. i have double dipped but i don't buy the same exact dvd 2 times, its a waste of money i think, but yea all power to them if they want to its there money.

Oh yeah I almost forgot about this little item. Just part of your average run of the mill DVD collection ;)

I have a couple of the same DVD. I have 2 versions of The Punisher because the new one is an extended version with remixed audio, but it doesn't have some of the featurettes that the older one did. I have two versions of The Bourne Identity because one has a DTS track and the other has more bonus features.

Once we start talking about action figures, we might be getting off topic a little. They have little to do with a DVD collection or Home Theater.
