DVD Talk Platinum Edition
I purge my dvd collection every 6 months or so and I don't buy as much as I used to. With online renting (thank you BB and nicheflix!) I no longer have buyers remorse as frequently. If I never sold anything off I would have double the amount of dvds now.

Okay, let's hope part 10 gets past at least 5 pages. My pics are updated since DDD started their 20% off sale. Here goes....
Not really part of my dvd collection, but I gotta show my new Dell XPS toy.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
I do like the cases. They are more compact, and I can fit alot more on each shelf. And I also like the small rounded "feet" on the bottom of the cases. Makes them easier to stand up to display.
I got the Frankenstein bust years ago when I was an employee with Spencer Gifts. At that time, they were owned by Universal, so we had some of their licensed product. I think they originally sold for about $150, but I was able to get it on clearance for about $20 as it had been marked down several times. I think they also made The Wolf Man, but I was never able to find one. They were limited to 12,500.
I've searched on ebay for these, but most of the busts that are available on there are "mini-busts".

Mr. Cinema's DVD bookcase layout looks a lot like mine (but I just retrofited a few large bookcases from the office auction to max out of the number of shelves per bookcase). One day I'll post mine too.

More people have to repost with their DDD updated collections. I got over 20 things from the sale, but I'm still waiting for a lot of them to come in the mail, so there's no point in retaking the pictures. And I have some stuff I'm trying to sell off, too.

Thanks.
Thanks.
I bought a couple in store a few years ago, but I don't remember them being that expensive. I think they were about $35 each after tax.
Edit, on closer inspection, the one in the link may be more expensive since it has 2 more shelves.

Thanks. I have one of the 5-shelf ones I bought at Wal-Mart a few years ago, and have been looking for another one, but it's hard to find when you don't know the name of the manufacturer. I'll be getting that from BB.

Hey Sabrett,
I really dig those wall shelves. Were they purchased from a store/online or a DIY project? I've been looking for something like this for ages to clear up MONSTEROUS floor space that's crowding my walk way.
(Pic reference)
Any info on where to get those and how much they run would be awesome.

Been watching this thread since Part 4 and never had time to post any pics.
just regular shelving purchased and Lowe's or Home Depot. I figured this way would be cheaper than a lot of little units. I think it was about 100 bucks.
I think there are about 600 titles on there now and room for about 150 - 200 more. That should last a year or two.
