Yeh mine came with no lenticular cover either.

I just went to Best Buy, bought one of hteirs with the lenticular, then returned my DDD using that receipt.

do that instead of waisting your time with returning it, waiting 2 weeks for a refund, andall that hoopla.

Exactley what I was thinking of doing man. Since the reviews are not so great, I should at least have the copy with a cool cover

Earlier in the thread there were reports by people that a few stores they went to only had regular covers on release week, so it seems pretty spread out.

...or go to Futureshop and get the lenticular with a magnet for $16.99

My cover isn't an actual "cover"..it's more of a card, doesn't sit withing the dvd case. It's suppose to be that way, right?

Martin: yep... some people are glueing them to the cases with glue sticks. I personally will just set mine off to the side somewhere safe.

I haven't got to the feature film yet, but I am extremely disappointed with the extras.

The Deleted Scenes were simply rehashed original scenes minus a few shots and some special effects.

The Scramble City episode was almost worthless to me because of the commentary-only option

The Cinex Credit Test ....WTF!?!?!?!

Did the interview with Vince DiCola get carried over from the old release?

Maybe Rhino can re-acquire the rights and finish what they started.

Finish G.I. Joe, sorry. They did indeed release all of the original Transformers but they quickly lost the rights. G.I. Joe was half way through season 2 when Sony got the rights. These two shows go hand in hand for me.

There is always the option of the r2 release of G1 from Metrodome, folks. They're pretty good value...

I seem to recall that the Rhino releases contained some errors, too, whilst the Metrodome ones don't.

The Metrodome discs came from the original broadcast masters and were of pretty lousy quality. Rhino attempted to remaster all of the episodes, so the quality is generally better, though they introduced a lot of errors in the process. Neither version is perfect. Both extensively replaced sound effects for their 5.1 remixes.

I've been waiting on a new R1 release, but I may pickup the R2 Metrodone ones instead. How lousy is the quality of the Metrodome discs?

They look like you're watching the show on broadcast TV in the '80s. Compared to the Rhino discs, they're soft, fuzzy, and very dull in color.

That sucks balls. Hopefully BCI’s Ink & Paint brand swoop in and grab the rights.

Damn, I sold my Rhino sets for really cheap expecting to buy the new version.

Now I wish that I kept them. Damn.

That sucks. Thankfully, I have all of the Rhino sets for Transformers and the unfinished GI Joe.

BCI would seem perfect to take on this project. Their work on He-Man was downright awesome.

Man, if Shout Factory released those we'd have some nice sets!

Did BCI do Dungeons & Dragons? I noticed that on at least my first disc, with a number of episodes, there is a sync problem with the audio and I'd certainly be interested in a replacement program if it's the same company. Any info would be appreciated. (And if it is the same company, info on how to contact them would be great.) Thanks!

Shout! and BCI are both great choices, but whats the next step, does a bankrupt company still hold rights? Is it up for grabs?
