The big mystery is within the outer case - what images are used on those thinpak covers...
that's what im interested in... whats over the front and back of the covers for the three different cases inside... in a freak i know, but im curious...

Me too. I think any of us who don't have them are curious about that.

Sorry, couldn't resist...

I don't find it that odd really. As far as official reviews, these are the same discs repackaged. There would be no reason to sent out review copies. There would be nothing new to report other than the packaging.

If you're talking about fan sites, most of the people there would likely already own all 7 seasons. So most fans aren't going to be buying these either.

I'm not surprised that you're having a hard time tracking down photos.

It's more along the lines of having a hard time convincing someone, anyone on this forum who has the new sets to take a few pictures or coverscans

I'd be happy to do it, but I have the old sets. Sorry.

OK folks -- mailman just delivered my new sets! I will take photos and should have them up within a few hours! (Provided I have no problems uploading on my dial-up tonight!)

All of the thinpak covers are the exact same as the boxset cover:

Episode summaries on back of each thinpak.

I haven't opened the other seasons, but presume all the thinpak covers again mirror the boxset cover.

Meh, not at all what I was hoping. Maybe I'll see if the prices on the regular sets go down since I've already got the first 4 seasons anyway. Thanks for taking the pics.

Regular sets are being discontinued, and in most cases, recalled. Don't know how much longer they'll be around for. And, since the upc is different, there was no official price drop on the older sets. If you want the old style pacakaging, I'd shop around, and do it fairly quickly, too.

^The old sets should be around in the secondary markets for quite awhile even when they disappear from the stores. I have them, as well as the "Chosen Collection" box, but just haven't gotten around to selling the individual sets on half.com or Amazon Marketplace yet.

Thanks rkndkn for the images!

Disappointing that they aren't more unique in front, but regardless it's a vast improvement in terms of convenience and shelf space.
