"Chasing Amy" (CC)...the grain is normal, right?

So I popped the Criterion in for the first time and noticed all this grain, especially on white backgrounds, like the canvas and ice. And other places all over the movie. I know Smith shot on 35mm, so all this grain and there is a lot is normal for this transfer right?

Does it bother anyone else?

Nope. Chasing Amy was shot on 16mm. The grain is normal.

It looks exactly how I remember it in the theatre (saw it 5 times total). It's fine.

It's 16mm (Super 16, to be exact). They even mention so on the commentary.

Yeah, but the framing of a certain shot in the train station is certainly not!

Hopefully, the misframing will be fixed in the 10th Anniversary edition next year.
