I don't personally like the cover, but that won't stop me from picking up this version.

Hmm ... a little sad not to see the original poster as the cover - but still excited about the release.

Nice. I hope they do BEFORE SUNRISE and BEFORE SUNSET too.

Wow! I knew I was holding out for purchasing that special edition for a reason. Good stuff.

Nice. I hope they do BEFORE SUNRISE and BEFORE SUNSET too. Because of that you can count out "Before Sunrise", "Before Sunset", "Suburbia" and "A Scanner Darkly" (all Warner Bros.), "School of Rock" and "Bad News Bears" (Paramount, another company that won't license their films), and "Tape" (Lionsgate, yet another company that doesn't license). "Dazed and Confused" is the only Linklater film controlled by Universal, who DOES license to Criterion, and Linklater personally owns "Slacker" and "It's Impossible To Learn To Plow By Reading Books", so he was able to license them to Criterion. Fox licenses to Criterion as well, so "The Newton Boys", "Waking Life" and "Fast Food Nation" are all within the realm of possibility. I personally don't see Criterion doing "The Newton Boys", though anything is possible after "Armageddon" and "The Rock", and "Waking Life" is already pretty packed. "Fast Food Nation" might be a good Criterion contender when it comes out though. |

This title is better, I agree, but there's no need for two threads on the release of one DVD, especially when all the info in this one is readily available in the other one.
Maybe a mod could change the title of the first thread to make it a little more clear. |

Ugly, ugly cover art. But no matter, I'm all over this one. Does anyone know if it's a Two disc set?
|
So will deleted scenes be included on this release or not?
|
I'm glad I haven't bought any versions yet!

EDIT: Was on a "doubtful on it not being two-disc" streak - thus the "doubtful" replaced w/ "likely" change. |
Cool....

I can't believe there hasn't been a single release of Suburbia on DVD yet.

http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/995/dazed1c1gn.jpg It was a limited silkscreen created for the original premiere. I believe it was reprinted for the reunion as well. The artist Frank Kozik stated that he received a check from Criterion, so my guess would be the poster included with the set will be a reprint of this one. |
