No pics here, either....but I still am most fond of my autographed and rare I Drink Your Blood dvd.

In second place would be my german release of Mario Bava's Blood and Black Lace.....Blutige Seide. Cased in black velvet and a reference quality transfer. Also includes some very rare trailers, essential for any Bava fan.

While not exactly an OOP "treasure", this is my most treasured DVD: I met Lana Clarkson during Comic-Con. She signed my Barbarian Queen DVD. She was just the sweetest person to meet. I keep the pic of her signing as my "insert".

A few months later she was murdered by Phil Spector (well, the trial is still going)

I don't have a pic of it, but probably my 8 season of Stargate SG-1 lined up.

My Hitchcock collection in its entirety is my favorite. Of course the Criterion box is my most favorite favorite.

I don't know if there's any title that I treasure with Gollum-like levels of avarice, but I'll try to play along:

  • Black Mask (uncut Taiwanese version)
  • the previously mentioned Buffy Chosen Collection box set
  • Gatchaman Collection box sets from ADV Films
  • Hero (Korean R3 Ultimate Edition)
  • Invader Zim series box set from Media Blasters
  • Kill Bill, Volume 1 (Japanese R2 standard edition)
  • Puni Puni Poemy autographed by director Shinichi Watanabe
  • RoboCop (uncut Criterion Collection edition)
  • Silence of the Lambs (Criterion Collection edition)
  • Superdimensional Fortress Marcross box sets from Animeigo

Also, to the OP: you can't really covet a title that's already in your collection. Your question should read, "What DVD in your collection do others covet most?"

Mine would have to be my Brazil Criterion Collection. The fact that I got it for 1/3 of the Canadian price helps too.

I hope that's not in your bedroom. That'd be freaky as hell, late at night with the lights off..

Sonny from I, Robot, there's no competition. I've got three now, I need one more and I'll be happy. They'll be on display (all in a row) with blue LED backlighting in my dedicated HT (hopefully this summer).

I love the Hand of Doom, too. It's actually a painted foam costume piece you can put your hand in, but it looks alot nicer than a $30 Halloween prop.

I'm finally getting Final Battle Kroenen, too! $40 @ sideshowtoy, the looong waitlist finally converted to an order, so the Hellboy 12" trio is now complete. I'm not a huge action figure/collection guy, simply because that money can buy a small stack of DVDs, but I do like these.

Nah, it's in the living room for all to see. At least I can sleep with it in the other room.

The two treasures out of all my OOP discs is MST3K the movie and This is Spinal Tap Criterion. MST3K will hopefully get a better release someday, but most of the extra stuff on Spinal Tap will probably not see the light of day again so I really treasure that one most of all.
