Pre-ordered them the moment they first appeared for $22.99 so I saved a whole dime! Woohoo! They were taken down temporarily for some reason, and reappeared with the new price. Weird.

I can't help but be disappointed by how these releases have slowly gone downhill in the packaging department. I had hoped that last year's sticky card and absence of the band that goes around the tin would be corrected, but apparently not judging from that review.
I also can't agree with the decision to repeat the Tenth Anniversary show on the "Your Host, Walt Disney" set . A cartoon here and there is bad enough, but a full half hour show repeated is a little ridiculous.

This Wave is REALLY low. Only 65,000 produced (for each title).

The Mickey Mouse Club: Week One - 130,000

Disney Rarities - 125,000
The Adventures of Spin & Marty - 125,000
Elfego Baca and The Swamp Fox: Legendary Heroes - 125,000
Looks like they started to backpedal around Wave 4. Things seem to go downhill around then (and soon afterwards). No more Obi Strips. Limited Edition numbers no longer punched on the tin. Tins seem to be made of lighter material. No more restoration done to the shorts. Non-anamorphic transfers for widescreen presentations. Duplicate programs on discs.
Apparently, Leonard Maltin has been contracted for two more waves. After that, there's murmurs that the Treasures may be phased out (in favor of the new Legacy Collections which have already taken the Disney birthday slot).

I'm hoping for the last 2 Donalds also.
I would also like the other 2 seasons of Spin & Marty and the 2nd season of The Hardy Boys.
There's also almost enough shorts for another volume of Disney Rarities and a volume of the Jiminy Cricket "I'm No Fool" and "Know Your..." series.
They might even be able to put together an Educational Shorts one with "Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land", "Scrooge McDuck and Money", and others...
I just hope they stop because they run out of stuff and not because they give up.

The Silly Symphonies disc contains commentaries from animators and animation historians on select cartoons. I found this out from going to Best Buy and reading the back of the DVD package. I did this because there are NO FUCKING REVIEWS FOR THIS TITLE
what gives?

i was looking at these at best buy today with the other tins...oddly enough they had copies Donald Volume 1 & 2, spin & Marty, Mickey Mouse in Black & White: Volume 2, and The Swamp Fox. Mickey volume 2 and donald volume 1 really suprised me....not sure how these are still on the shelf, as I had not seen them in that aisle before (at least not since the original release).
Side note. Best buy has them for 24.99 and you can preorder cinderella 3 or peter pan for 5.00 bucks off each. The preorders can be returned after release date if you decide you don't want Cinderella 3 or peter pan, thus getting you the tins for 19.99 out the door each with 5.00 each to come back and pick up later....
oddly enough you have to order 4 copies, insted of putting all twenty towards one disc....you just have to return them for cash later....

I bought all four, just to make sure I could find copies. Was only 1 left of each on the shelf.
Echo comments above, some reviews of the other three would be nice. Haven't opened mine, just in case.

Probably why the numbers for this year's batch have been cut in half.
