Yeah, I agree with you. It's just what I've read, not that I've really looked into it. And alarmist stuff only makes the news, anyway. So who knows. I think I take good care of stuff, and I have CD-Rs from 8 years ago that still play.
But I think the question of "laser rot" is a good one. Has anyone had any problems with DVDs from 1997?
