Special Features That Are Listed But Are Nowhere To Be Found On The Dvd.
Can you name some dvds that you've come across where they list a special feature that isn't on the actual dvd?
I noticed that L.A. STORY claims it has a director's commentary, but I couldn't find it.

Halloween: H20 lists commentary by director Steve Miner and Jamie Lee Curtis. Not on there.
This is probably the worst dvd that is considered a special edition as it only has a 15 minute featurette and a non-anamorphic transfer.

R2 Batman Returns lists a commentary but it doesn't exsist, mainly because the film has a few edits in the uk and Wb didn't bother to edit the commentary aswell, which would have taken an hour tops, seeing that the edits in the film are very small.

On the back of the first release of Reservoir Dogs it boasts a running time of 99 mins as a special feature but the film is really only about 98 and a half minutes.

Lucky for me, the R3 have the commentary for all movies in the boxset just like the R1 counterpart.

The first print run of the disc didn't have it on it. People complained to Lion's Gate and so they made a re-pressing that included that sfx featurette - you could order the new disc off their website by sending in the original one for a swap (or download it if you didn't want to go through the hassle to send in your old disc). Eventually, it appears the new re-pressing is out there in most retail stores at this point so chances are good that if you bought it now, the extra would be on it.
However, the back of the case (at least the original printing) also says that there are 'deleted scenes", trailers, and teasers. I know one or all of those were also NOT on the disc or the re-pressing - can't remember off-hand which one (or all) of those was missing, but it's still missing something even with the sfx featurette added back on it.

H20 is actually missing more features than just the commentary. I remember when it first came out it listed multiple features on the back that were no where to be found on the DVD. They omitted the missing features when they re-released the DVD with a corrected cover. But they left the empty spaces on the new cover where the old features were listed.

I guess they were too lazy to resize the special features box.

I was very upset with the lack of promised trailers on my Star Trek: Generation SCE!
(J/K, actually I was just happy I didn't have to wait a few extra weeks to get it. )
