i just finished watching this and it was probably the only "behind the scenes" doc i watched in its entirety. as good as the film. i was so impressed and amused and all the participants.

anyone know when it was made because it doesn't look like it was 86 or 87?

They weren't very long, but I did enjoy the making of featurettes on the Christine: SE. It was very interesting to see how they did some of the car effects.

although it kind of ruined the magic of Ran but the Chris Marker documentary 'AK' is fascinating.

Although they are split into a bunch of mini-docs instead of one hour-long piece, I really liked the making-of's on The Karate Kid and Scarface too. Lots of interesting little tidbits and a good look at the conceptualization by writers Kamen and Stone, respectively.

Magnolia's verité 70-minute making-of always stands out in my mind.

As a fan I find the Behind the Scenes doc on the James Bond Special Editions fascinating.
