Re: What Are You STILL Waiting For?!?!

For anyone who was waiting for The Dark Night Of The Scarecrow, there is a nice little write up (2 page article) about the restoration process for DVD/Blu-Ray in the current issue of Rue Morgue.

In addition to these:

Of course, there are other titles on my list as well.

Re: What Are You STILL Waiting For?!?!

Pokemon... every movie with Japanese audio and English subtitles, the original music, anamorphic widescreen presentations, and if possible -- all on Blu-ray (and therefore just in the correct ratio).

Yeah, I guess we'll see....

Still can't believe 8 Million Ways to Die isn't out on dvd yet. Pathetically inexcusable.

Kill Bill TWBA and Grindhouse Theatrical.

The Compleat Weird Al
Summer Camp Nightmare
Jimmy the Kid (with Gary Coleman)

Those are about the only ones that really spring to mind at the moment.

There's a decent BFI disc of this with commentary. Here's the DVD Beaver review.

If you're region-free, this is available in a solid Japanese edition with no forced subtitles.

Even though I have the overseas editions, it would be nice to see Reflecting Skin and Darkly Noon (my French copy is in OAR, but is non-anamorphic) get US releases...

Re: What Are You STILL Waiting For?!?!

A R1 DVD release for THE DAY OF THE BEAST (El Dia de la Bestia) and ACCION MUTANTE. Alex de la Iglesia's two best films don't have official US DVDs but all his lesser films do. (And no, I don't want to get a R0 DVD player for just one film)

Actually, there is an official Latin American R1/R4 release for El Dia de la Bestia. Problem is there are no English subtitles. I bought it anyway. So now I have 2 copies of the film: an English-dubbed VHS and a Spanish edition with no English subtitles. What's funny is that I'm normally anti-dubbing, but since for years I only had access to the dubbed VHS, I got used to the funny American voices with repeated viewings & this is a rare case where the natural voices of the Spanish actors "don't sound right" to me! The English voice for the fat biker-looking death-metal dude is deeper and really gruff; the Spanish actor's voice is much higher pitched.

I'd like the Jon Cryer flick, "Morgan Stewart's Coming Home".
