Le Retour de Martin Guerre (1982) in a decent R1 transfer.
I mean; it won the Kansas City Film Critics Circle Award for goodness sake!

Where is Jim McBride's remake of Breathless (1983) in widescreen? Damn MGM and their pan-and-scan hackjobs.

For those of us who want the original cinema cut, it's even worse. I have the Region 2, which is the original cut, and it's one of the worse DVDs I've ever seen. I hate to say that. From what I remember of an interview with Mann around the time of the R1 release of Mohicans, Thief will need a major restoration.

Re: What Are You STILL Waiting For?!?!

2009 and time to revisit my wants and the last we've seen of them:

Dharma & Greg: Season 1 (released 6/06)
Mad About You: Season 3 (released 2/07)
NYPD:Blue: Season 4 (released 6/06)
DuckTales: Vol. 3 (released 11/07)
Muppet Show: Season 3 (released 5/08)

Can't get enough TV on DVD and would love to see some more released from these shows. Not looking pretty though rolling into 3 year breaks for a couple of them. Looks like region 2 saw a season 2 release of Dharma & Greg, where's ours?

This year it's:

- Fraggle Rock Season 4 (without having to re-purchase 1-3)
currently no plans

S3 was May 2008 ... I wish they'd announce the last two, with less of a delay between seasons than what we've been seeing

The Road Warrior.

I have been wanting a Special Edition of that movie for a very long time. May be my favorite movie ever.

Betrayal- kind of obvious with the recent death of Pinter.
The Slender Thread- again, with the recent death of Sydney Pollack...
American Hot Wax (sure they'll get right on it...)
The Kremlin Letter
The Dead

Thank you Onion for putting Tarnished Angels at #1 instead of the far more obvious, uninspired choice of The African Queen! Some great films on that list. Bigger Than Life has a fantastic R2 disc from BFI. The muddy transfer on the R2 Kinowelt disc of Johnny Guitar is adequate, though I keep hoping Lions Gate will put the damn thing out already. I'm not sure Phantasm II is all that glaring an omission, though I would enthusiastically welcome The Decline of Western Civilization Part II (and indeed Part I) on DVD. "Odin! Odin! Odin!"

Re: What Are You STILL Waiting For?!?!

Most of my wishes are for tv:

Daria
Judging Amy
L.A. Law
the rest of Gargoyles
the rest of File Mile Creek

And every movie I already own and low that have no anamorphic, R1 release. It's been said so many times in this thread already but I'll add a vote for "The Game".

Re: What Are You STILL Waiting For?!?!

Family Matters - Yeah, I know there probably aren't many fans of the show here, but it was one of my favourites from my childhood and I don't really get what the hold up is. The show didn't really use that much license music so I don't think that's a problem. The show was one of the highest rated sitcoms for 3-4 years during it's heyday.

Rest of Boy Meets World
Rest of Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air

Veronica Mars - Complete Series in 1 box
