This is excellent news!
I was fearing that when it did get a dvd release. It would be the R rated version only like Paramount did with Jade and other films which had previously been released unrated on VHS.
I hope this will lead to more unrated releases from Paramount someday(Friday the 13th series for one, along with 1900,Jade,Hellraiser 3,My Bloody Valentine, Thief of Hearts to name a few).

Wow, that was quick (just commented that Paramount needs to release this to tie in with BI2). Yet it took them so long to finally do it. I am glad to see Paramount finally release this Sharon Stone film. I will be picking this up for sure.

I had forgotten there was an unrated version of Hellraiser 3 (VHS and laserdisc)

was there an alternate ending? I seem to remember that Baldwin's spiky sculpture was shown more than a few times, which led me to think it would come into play later.

Their first unrated dvd release was Team America which came out after the Friday set. This is their second unrated release from what I know.
Let's hope if they do rerelease the Friday films(which Martin Blyth teased at before the box set release),that they will be unrated/uncut versions.

There was a lot of talk about William Baldwin doing full nudity, which never made the film.
The ending was re-written from the script/ changed from the book to throw off readers/ possibly re-done after test screenings... it's hard to know what exactly happened there. I find it hard to believe whatever a test audience saw could have been worse, so I think it's debatable if there's an alternate ending available.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's the same unrated version as before. And that it really runs 106 minutes..and not 108 minutes.
Since it seems alot of VHS releases had the wrong times listed usually off by a minute or two. So it wouldn't surprise me if the '108 minute' VHS release was really 106 minutes when timed.
But there is only one way to tell for sure,so I'll see what the reviews say and anyone that does a comparison to the unrated VHS.

Now all we need is Jade Unrated on DVD and the Joe Eszterhas Collection is finally complete. The one thing that stood out about this flick even though it was terrible was that Sharon Stone was still kinda hot.
