Unrated "Enemy of the State" coming 5/16
I figured: According to DavisDVD, a new edition of Enemy of the State will finally arrive on May 16...in an unrated extended cut. Guess this was to be expected. New anamorphic transfer; extras TBA. Same day will also bring unrated extended cuts of Crimson Tide and Con Air. Definitely pleased to hear this, but I hope the extended cut doesn't destroy the original theatrical. Love it just as it was. Still,

More interested in Crimson Tide. FWIW, the original versions of Enemy of the State and Crimson Tide were the first two DVDs I ever bought.

I'm looking foward to the Con Air re-release. Still, these unrated cuts are mostly nothing more then a marketing ploy.

Finally!!! I have been waiting for the anamorphic releases for these titles for some time now. I believe they originally announced SE's for Enemy of the State and Crimson Tide almost two years ago.

okay now, this whole 'Unrated' thing is getting out of hand - just call it what it is - an extended cut. I really doubt that there is any additional footage that wouldn't have made it in the R-rated theatrical cut - of course I could be completely wrong.

More Con-Air!
Im for sure picking up Con-Air and Crimson Tide. Glad to finally see them get 16:9 treatment even if its slightly extended version. Wish they would do branching so we could get both versions on one disc.

This is one of my favorite films, and will be buying the new version, but the cover is god awful.

I hope it is nothing but a slipcover. Keeping my fingers crossed.

That can't possibly be the final artwork for EOTS....

If that cover is the final one, I will put the new disc in my old Enemy of The State DVD case.
