Wow, the dad has a freakishly huge head. I'll probably buy this blind, however, as I'm expecting something good.

I'll tell you, Warner made the right move on the music. Shows their dedication to getting shows out instead of in the vaults.

That sucks.

I will still be buying the show, but I am pretty bummed about this.

Yep, I'd rather have the show out then nothing at all because of a song you'll be skipping after the first few episodes.

Damn, I was all ready to buy -- but no theme song? Argh. I understand the whole "I'd rather have the show out" viewpoint, but I am sick of incomplete releases.

Nightwing, this is only the second song Warner Bros has replaced in ALL their TV releases. They really tried on this one, but it just couldn't be done, and the other song (on La Femme Nikita Season 2) held up the release of the set for months. Warner has the best track record out of any studio when it comes to keeping original music.

Gord, one other song replacment now from a Warner-distributed title, although it's really the BBC in charge of this one. I mentioned it in my recent Doctor Who news:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5067

Note that there is a musical replacement on the Revelation of the Daleks release: The Doctor Who Restoration Team reports that "Rights could not be obtained to use the Jimi Hendrix track, 'Fire', which plays over one of the DJ sequences...Mark (Ayres) re-dubbed this section from scratch, replacing the music with something hopefully more appropriate than what was used on the VHS, and carefully matching the original ambience and equalisation."
