I live in a College dorm so a $20 VCR is a lot better idea than a $200 DVDR, so I buy blank tapes all the time...

I can't recall when I last bought a blank tape or if we even still have any somewhere around the house. After getting a dual-tuner TiVo from DirecTV, the VCR just seemed pointless. But my two year old did get a VHS tape for Christmas. One of those tapes you might get for free with the purchase of a toy. He watched it and loved it. But that's probably the first time the VCR has been used in 1 1/2 years.

Not in a couple of years, since I got my DVR's(one in the living room and one in the bedroom). It's so much easier to use than setting a VCR to record a show.Gosh that has to be the greatest invention since TV itself,IMHO.
