Do you still buy blank VHS tapes?
I can't remember the last time I bought some so my answer would be-no.
nope
No way, Jose
What's VHS?
Uh.. no
No, I also cannot recall the last time I purchased blanks nor even held a VHS in my hand
Don't even have a vcr hooked up in my home anymore so no.
It has been at the very least 5 years since i bought any of them. |
Yeah, I still have a good working VCR and use it pretty often. But a few months ago I got a great price on an 8-pk. of VHS tapes, so I figure that will be the last I ever purchase.
I have a couple around to record TV shows I don't want to miss when I know I won't be home for whatever reason. My VCR is still hooked up, and I also use its inputs for game machines, so it still has life. I still do have a good number of movies only on VHS, but I don't watch them much.
The last one I bought was last summer. Picked it up to record some stuff while I wasn't home. My VCR is still hooked up and I still have some VHS movies, but they hardly get any use.
No ... but I have tons of reusable ones that had movies I taped off AMC (when it was a good channel) and TCM that were OAR and commercial-free that I now have on DVD.
I haven't bought a blank VHS in probably 4 years.
I still have a VCR and I occasionally watch VHS tapes. I have quite a few movies on VHS which haven't been released on DVD yet. I do have a small stack of blank VHS tapes also most of which will be used to record a certain movie marathon on TCM tomorrow night.
Whats the most you ever spent for a blank VHS tape?I remember paying 12 bucks back in 1978 when the tapes were only 4 hrs. long.
no, I just disposed of about 2 or 3 dozen I had used in the prime of VHS. I kept a few good quality ones just in case, but I got an HDDVR last week so I doubt they will ever see the inside of my VCR again.
Don't have a TIVO/DVR, so yes I sometimes buy them. Maybe yearly.
I still buy them to record basketball and football games but that's it. Even though I have a DVR I just don't have the patience to use it most of the time. I refuse to ever watch a movie on VHS again though.
No, I have a Cox 50 Hour HD-DVR. Plus a DVD +/- R-R/W x16 Max DVD burner on my comp. I also use a little something called.. Bit Torrent.. :D
I've got 2 VHS's and 1 Beta, none have an antenna connection or have anything plugged into their input jacks. I've got a DVD recorder which I've been using to slowly transfer my old recorded stuff onto disc- don't record TV on that either because I can't stand the f---ing logos!
I still buy tons of blank VHS tapes because I tape alot of sports that I want to save forever and, in most cases, are not and will not be sold in stores. My wife bought me a Cyberhome DVD recorder for Christmas, but recorded DVD quality tends to be bad on a single layer disc after 3 hours so I would have to dub off of VHS anyways, and Im still working the bugs out of the DVD recorder (it being the bottom of the barrell of DVD recorders, Im discovering).
my vcr broke a few years ago and I watch/record so little tv its not worth replacing.
I don't even remember the last time I bought one. But then, I have about 100 or so tapes going all the way back to '84 that I don't know what to do with other than tape over. I doubt Goodwill wants them, and I don't have the heart to just throw them out to clutter up some landfill.
Still use my VCR regularly for casually recording cable shows I don't feel like staying awake for and don't plan to keep. |
I still buy blank VHS tapes regularly and use a VCR to record my wrestling shows/ppv's. I plan on getting a dvd recorder within the next month. so, I doubt I'll be using my VCR that much after I figure out how to work the dvd recorder and convert all my VHS tapes.
Yes, to transfer home movies from the mini tapes to the standard VHS or to give other people shows my DVR recorded.
I haven't used a VCR in years.
