Not really. The one I got from Secret Santa was the wrong edition and the one my parents bought me I had already. It's my first christmas that I didn't ask for books, movies or CD's. Very strange, indeed. I was happy with socks. Eeek....i think i'm growing up!

Yes, Santa was very good to me! My brother gave me the two disc Led Zeppelin concert DVD and my parents gave me the complete collection of Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. Yay, a Merry Christmas!

My mom got me....

War of the Worlds : widescreen 1 disc edition.

I am happy since it was the version I asked for and she even knew to look for which version was which. So she didn't buy it until probably a few days before Christmas since she told me she only found 'fullscreen' copies and kept asking 'you want widescreen right?'.

A Very Brady Sequel,
Sadly the first film which I also asked for is impossible to find in the retail stores. I have looked everywhere from Borders, Sun Coast,Best Buy among others and even the used stores...and found nothing. Despite all of the above usually having a copy on the shelves for years! Oh well..I'll just order it online..and say screw the retailers!

The Dukes of Hazzard : Season 2

mom also bought me for my birthday last week, Dukes season 1!

I surprised my mom with Elvis: Aloha from Hawii and Change of Nabit. She didn't ask for anything, nor expect us to get her anything. So both of those were my ideas since I knew she loved Change of Habit(but our old 1981 VHS is falling apart gathering dust) and hasn't seen the Elvis: Hawii concert since it first aired in the early 1970's!

Nothing. I've got a ton of unwatched DVDs, plus it's getting to the point where if I want something bad enough, I'm not going to wait until Christmas to get it. I've been getting some nice DVDs in recent weeks, but nothing for Christmas.

I did, however, get a ton of film-related books. Hitchcock, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, the silent era, and Universal Horror are just some of the subjects covered in the various titles. I've got some serious reading to do.

My wife got me the Tremors Attack Pack.
My parents got me Lifeboat.
My father-in-law gave me the standard gift of $50 cash, which will be used on DVD's... I haven't decided which ones yet, but Family Guy Volume 4 and King Kong 2-disc are high on the list.

Only thing I got so far is the Batman Anthology, and a new DVD player, although I may exchange that since it has no digital audio output.

Got a couple more presents to open in a couple of hours, but I'm only expecting gift cards and money. I did already get a $30 Wal-Mart GC, which will probably go towards picking up Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, which I seen were $13.50 a piece the other day.

Besides DVD related things, I got a new HDTV. Although, it's too big for my current entertainment center so it might be a week before I find a new one, and have it all set up. Oh well. It's still a nice one.

Dropped at least a million hints to my wife to get me KING KONG (2 disc SE), but what does she get me...FANTASTIC FOUR? Ah well, looks like I'll be buying KONG with gift certificate money, myself. Either that, or I'll wait two more weeks to see if I get it for my birthday.

Aside from that, it was more superhero stuff...
SKY HIGH
SUPERMAN : THE ANIMATED SERIES Vol. 2

...and ROCKSTAR: INXS, too.

I also received a UMD copy of NAPOLEON DYNAMTIE for my PSP - The first movie I've gotten for it yet.

I received The Lord of the Rings, extended, widescreen edition set. Seinfeld Season 3 and Into the West set plus about $150 for future DVD's to start off the new year with. And I also bought Titanic extended edition for my wife but it also goes into my collection, had to make alot of room to fit these big sets, editions on my shelf.

I got money ahead of time to plan my own gifts because I knew I'd get the most for the money with the DDD sales and I would have been sending my parents or family that asked what I wanted all over the place, so thanks to that and some BB sales, I got..

Parents and Santa-
Sex and the City: Complete Series
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Chosen Collection
Veronica Mars: Season 1
South Park: Season 6
Firefly: Complete Series
Life As We Know It: Complete Series
Friends: Season 10
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Deluxe)

Aunt and Uncle-
The Tick: Complete Series
Seinfeld: Season 3
Seinfeld: Season 4
Rescue Me: Season 1

Sister-
Futurama: Season 1
King of the Hill: Season 1

From the Sig Other-
Walt Disney Treasures: Tomorrowland
Stargate SG-1: Season 1

W/ Gift Card from Best Friend-
The Island
Ghostbusters 1&2 Collection

With money from another Aunt-
Serenity
Resident Evil: Apocolypse

Some leftover Best Buy certificates to use soon! Need to pick up Polar Express this week. Great price and it was adorable when I watched it on Christmas Eve with my cousins.

Santa, Mom & Dad, the rest of the family and friends, etc. were all good to me this year and my birthday's close, so a lot of people have doubled up some. =p Now the biggest "problem" will be, when will I have time to watch all of these??

+Danny

Val Lewton collection and the Criterion Rebel Samurai set. Also the Talking Heads Brick, which I think is dual disks and so has a DVD component. I also got that Scene-It DVD game (actually 2 copies, so most likely one of them will become a DVD too).

Edit: I forgot this one 'New' Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
