Outside of Robot Chicken and Venture I don't think I have liked a single new show. I kind of wish they would just focus on new ATHF and Harvey episodes (Sealab is probably not worth bringing back without Murphy) and dump some of the new stuff.
Sealab without Murphy is hit or miss. I would also like to see new Brak Show eps.
Squidbillies, Stoker & Hoop, Tom Goes to the Mayor... I tried to get into them, but they were just ridiculously retarded. I saw about 15 seconds of 12oz mouse and turned the channel. Boondocks bothers me the most. I love the comic strip, but the cartoon is just... just... let's just say you have to really try hard to make a cartoon this bad. I don't recall the boys doing things like this in the comic strip.
Of course, I have to mention that I'm not in the targeted demographic for Adult Swim. If I recall correctly, they're looking for the late teen to mid 20's group, and I'm hitting 36 next month.

I wondered how they would ever release it.

^true, but it isn't exactly a parody since all the charachter base comes from lisceneced products. Those are real Darth Vader and transformers....At the same time, the guy was a longtime toyfare guy so I'm sure he has plentyu of people to call in for favors...

I've always wondered about licensing as well. If they are paying for the licensing there is no way that show could be made considering how low budget Adult Swim is. I'm thinking he is protected because its all parody, but believe me I don't understand those laws at all. I still have no idea if its even legal to rip my own CDs to MP3.

Has anybody ever checked the credits? It'd be right there if they were paying for licensing. I think it still falls under parody myself. If I have some RC on my DVR, I'll try to check the credits.

Straying a little off-topic here, but people are so often under the false assumption that "parody" is a blanket protection from copyright infringement. Parody is generally only protected when it provides some type of direct social commentary or criticism of the original work. Parody used as a substitution for your own original creative works is generally not protected. Here's a good, quick article that provides a primer on parody in fair use.

Being a fan of both Seth Green and ToyFare magazine, I will be all over this one. I have several eps. on my DVR that I gave a series pass to, which means it only tapes once every two or three weeks unfortunately.
Have you ever read the voices they get for some of these eps.? They're relatively big names sometimes.
I also anticipate the Boondocks when it hits.

Lots of people that have worked with Seth show up as voices. That is one of my favorite things about it. You never know who will show up doing voices on the show.

I picked it up as well at Target and despite only watching the first five episodes, I have barely began to touch the surface on all the content on the set.
And the episodes are sorted on the set by production order, not aired date.

Just a Head's Up, Guys. Although i can't confirm it, i have heard from fairly reliable sources that The Beavis and Butt-head meet the Teen Titans skit from Vegtable Fun Fest has been cut out of that episode on the DVD, and the Music to the Voltron Got Served skit in Nutcracker Sweet has been replaced with a totally different song

I managed to get this at my local Wal-Mart for 16.99 before my 10% discount. I would of easily paid double that for this show.
I sat down and watched all the extras and episodes except for the commentaries. It's a great set.
The creation of the Voltron Got Served dance song is shown in one of the extras. Seth mentions that he wants it to sound hardcore and starts to sings some lyrics that would never make it past the censors. In the final episode it still kinda sounds like what he wanted minus the cursing.

However there were no changes to the music during the latter two.
I just want to know why the "Teen Titans" skit is gone. We know it's not on Warner's side (as there are many jokes towards the DC comic book characters during the season), so it must be someone in Judge's camp (which makes sense since Judge is a fucking hack).

The Lyrics to the Original Televised version of the Voltron Skit sounded like this:
Work it out on the Floor
Work it Out on the Floor
If You ain't Here to dance, get your ass out the door.
If the Song on the DVD Version doesn't have these lyrics, then it has been edited.
Mike Judge does not own Beavis and Butt-Head, I doubt he was behing the removal of that skit.
Also, Did they cut out the Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem skit out of the DVD?

I would bet it was Judge. He isn't happy enough cutting up and ruining his own work so he has to spread it to this series as well.
