Brotherhood of the Wolf OOP?

I had the 3-disc Canadian version of BotW and just found that disc 1 is cracked, grrr. I was looking to get a copy of the Universal version, I always heard the video was a little better anyway, but several places I've checked don't have it in stock. Any word if it's coming up for a re-release?

Deciphering camerons post for Fincher Fan:

1. No word on a re-release right now.
2. Pretty common title to find in used bins.
3. If you want a new one, try looking at Borders.

The Universal release contains only the theatrical cut and Dolby Digital 5.1, so it will not be an exact replacement for the Canadian disc, which is the longer Director's Cut and has full bit-rate DTS.

Or for a better replacement, I think the Canadian 1 disc version is still available (I still see it for sale at many stores, at least).

If I remember correctly, the transfer on the US release is far superior to the Canadian release, so if you're a video buff, you might want to get the American one anyway.

According to DVDAF, all editions of Brotherhood of the Wolf are still in-print.

According to http://dvdlist.kazart.com/queryDVDList2.php3?id=20459, the Universal release is OOP.

Cultshock, does that 1-disc version have the Director's Cut? Could you give me a URL or two, I'm having trouble finding it. Heck, half the listings in DVD Price Search don't work when you get to the store pages.

The Canadian 1 disc version is the same as the 1st disc of the 3 disc set. I only have the single disc release, and it does have the directors cut and DTS track. Here's a listing at amazon.ca:

http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASI...215756-5925154

The picture shows the US cover, but since that one is out of print, and the price is relatively cheap (compared to if it was a US import), I'm assuming that amazon.ca just made a mistake with the picture and it is the Canadian version (I don't know this for a fact though, just an educated guess)

Here is another link at futureshop.ca. A bit more expensive, and I'm not sure if they ship outside of Canada:
