It lasted three seasons, actually. Part of why it died, however, was because Herman's life was becoming far more interesting than what was in his head. And when the "regular" show becomes better than the "wacky premise," well, there was something wrong with the wacky premise to begin with.

My vote for TV shows I'm waiting for on DVD? Earthworm Jim.

Get A Life
WKRP
Twin Peaks
On The Air (1992 ABC - the other show by David Lynch and Mark Frost)
Cupid (1998-99 ABC - Starring Jeremy Piven and Paula Marshall created by Rob "Veronica Mars" Thomas)

It's Garry Shandling's Show - (I have fond memories of this from it's run during the early days of FOX. But I must admit i'm not sure how well the show would hold up today)

Well, having just seen the last episode of Boston Public on WE today, I'll vote for that, and these others:

Wings (coming from Paramount in 2006?)
Ed (in DVD Hell because of music issues)
The Wonder Years (in DVD Hell because of music issues)
Boston Legal (for some reason no David E. Kelley show is on DVD, I believe)

The New Six-Million Dollar Men (Jake 2.0, Now and Again)

Private Eyes/Avenging Angels (Vengeance Unlimited, Eyes and Karen Sisco)

Hospital Shows without ER or Chicago in the title (MD's, Wonderland and Gideon's Crossing)

Misc. titles
Parker Lewis Can't Lose
Salute Your Shorts
Jack and Bobby
Lucky

Was that the show that started off with "Eziekhiel saw the wheel - this is the wheel he saw"?

Been waiting for these for a long time. Hopefully the wait won't be much longer with all the obscure TV releases we're seeing with the DVD format:

In Search Of... (1976-82)
Beyond Westworld (1980)
The Naked Gun (1982)

As i mentioned earlier in a thread at the end of November, apparently it is coming out in R2 in March 2006

I really can't imagine this being released BEFORE a R1 release so maybe there could be an announcement in the very near future unless there has been and i've missed it.

Yeah, what is with that? I recently sold copies of seasons 3, 4 and 5 to a customer, and told them I'd look for 1 & 2... only to find out that they've never been released?

What kind of idiot decides to release only the last half of a series?

They have been recording commentary Tracks for a Dr. Katz DVD release. I'm not sure of the details yet as to who is releasing it and when.
