I def. like sci fi. (though my idea of putting glass over Han and using him as a coffee table wasn't well received... the bf said it was disrepectful to say a vase of flowers should look like Han was holding it up. )

I've heard a lot of great stuff about POTA over the years, so I'm looking forward to this collection, and figure I might as well get EVERYTHING at once.

I just want my monkey....

Traded in my Evolution boxed set for Aliens and Winged Migration last week. I really lamented doing it, being I like the art of the Evolution set over the Legacy set from what I can tell. But anamorphic video and better soundtracks win over collectibility in my eyes. I think I made a good deal on the $32 I'll pay over at Circuit City.

Finally got my shipping notice on this...they shipped via UPS, so I'm still holding out hope of getting it tomorrow!

I preordered this from Amazon when it first got there and I'm still waiting for my email. So far, my account page shows that it should get here Thursday.

I'm also waiting on my Bad Kids box set that was scheduled to be shipped sometime between Feb 22 and Apr 5th.

You'll be waiting a LONG time for the "Bad Kids" box set since it was canceled a long time ago and was never released. Image canceled several of their planned box sets a couple of years ago. You ought as well cancel your order and pick up the individual SW titles on their own if you want any of them.

Well that sucks.

I checked with Best Buy (who didn't list the PotA in their ad) to see how many Legacy sets they were scheduled to get, and their computer said a whopping 3! Gee, you can tell how much they care about selling this release. Since I don't feel like placing an in-store pickup order after midnight (it only takes 3 people beating me to that to get all the ones at my local store) nor do I feel like being in line at store open, I guess I will go with Amazon figuring $32.99 (PM to CC) + tax is about the same as Amazon's $34.99.

Still nothing from DDD either... I ordered the monkey head early last week and half way expected to see it shipped on friday...nothing....release day tommorow, hopefully they will get it sent out soon.

If you buy the remote control monkey head from toys r us, they won't be lonely.

My order with amazon hasn't shipped yet I just put my order in a few days ago though, so maybe they sent them out to the people who ordered it a long time ago first? Anybody have it sent from amazon yet?

is this one worth the single dvd purchase? i know it has the extra scenes and all, but wasn't this one of the worse PotA sequels?

Battle... has about 10 minutes of additional footage, mostly (appropriately enough) battle-related. And you're right, this is the weakest entry, so is ten minutes more really better? If you're a completist, you know you'll end up buying it.

That Legacy set is fairly inexpensive, and the extended Battle... is included.

Amazon package tracking says my monkey head is 1 state away. I could be swinging by the chandelier this weekend.

Awesome! Just received mine! I love the fact that I can remove the box of discs and still keep the head nicely packed away.

So I'm in Future Shop today, see the Plante of the Apes Ultimate Edition. They've only got two. I'm checking it out, 'oohing and ahhing' but there's no wayn I'm buying it because the price tag is way out of my range). Usually my wife would be rolling her eyes and waiting impatiently for me. Today she says 'You totally need that. I'm going to buy it for you" (we have separate bank accounts). I tried everything I could to convince her not to, because I know she can barely afford it, but in the end, I have the Planet Of The Apes Caesar Bust sitting in front of my television. I teach guitar lessons and every student has commented on how mind blowingly rad it is. Can't wait to start watching them all.
