So an anyone tell me if the Blockbuster version of the Rumble dvd came with an insert?
|
Anyone else notice the intro for the 91 Rumble has a new voiceover....it used to be McMahon....kinda disappointed that he chose to do that.

also after Flair wins the Rumble in 92 did they leave his music intact as it was in 92 or did they replace it with his classic/modern theme as they did on the WrestleMania VIII dvd from the WM Anthology? is Rhodes' "common man" theme present on '90 & '91? ...or perhaps just on one, but not the other? this editing stuff, is just ridiculous...so unnecessary and unacceptable on so many levels...While I couldn't be happier that WWE is making this classic footage available to us, the manner and consistency in which they edit music and "WWF" references (see WM 13, where they just cut out parts of interviews) leaves a lot to be desired, and to me, makes these highly anticipated releases a lot less enjoyable, and often times just frustrating to watch. |
FYE
I believe it's Mean Gene doing the 91 AND the 92 one....just started watching that one....grrrr it pisses me off, why would mcmahon care if his voice was still on it or not???? I haven't gotten to flair's entrance yet....but the Dusty music was still what it was I'm pretty sure |

As for mero & cactus. Are you talking about 97 or 98. Because 97, mero has his wildman song & cactus, who was mankind in the 97 rumble, had his demented symphony music. Mero = 1998, as well as Cactus. |

What do you mean volume 1? I didn't think you could buy RR volume sets, are you talking about the WM set?

Ah, ok thanks. Not a bad idea, but that volume only had 4 RRs on it then right? I think I'd want at least 3, if not 4 volumes, so I'll just wait to spring for the set.

Has there ever been any confirmation that the Royal Rumble individual sets will never be made available seperately? I find that hard to believe that buying the whole Anthology will be the only way to get these things. I could see WWE selling individual sets by Christmas time. They're probably just holding off for now to push the bigger box sales.

Have they replaced McMahon during the 89 intro too? I don't particularly remember the 90 one, but he probably originally did that as well...how are those looking?

Where's the cheapest place to pick up the Anthology?

Just bought mine from walmart.com. $175 shipped after taxes.
Quick question about the 2004 Rumble... Is "The Kat" Ernest Miller's dance scene unedited (I'm asking about his entrance theme)? Once of my favorite sequences of that rumble. |
Hmmmm. Yeah I was wondering about the UPC situation. Thanks Wildo!

About the Flair theme, its the actual theme he had in 1992. I just finished watching Royal Rumble 91, 92 and 93 and in both 92 and 93 Flair had the REAL theme he used in those years. Dusty's "common man" is intact. |
Just got the set in the mail and the first one I'm watching is 96 and it sounds like the audio is messed up. I'm not sure, it just sounds weird. Like it was mixed wrong or is coming out of the speakers wrong. Anyone else experiencing this, or am I just nuts?
|
I grew up loving the royal rumble so I'm so tempted to buy this set though I'm really worried that I will be let down by stupid editing.
|
at FYE there having a buy 2 get 1 free deal..But to be truthful its not that great of a deal unless you are going for ppv dvds which you could prob get 3 dvds for less then $40
