I hope they decide to release sets of old WCW PPVs in the future. Would love to own Halloween Havoc, Superbrawl, Starrcade, Clash of the Champions stuff.

That would be awesome! but i doubt that will ever happen. I don't Vince wants us to see how good WCW was back then and i think they realize it will probably not sell very well to casual fans.

I could see WWE possibly release older ECW ppvs that weren't by Pioneer Entertainment, like November to Remember 99, Heatwave 2000, Living Dangerously 2000 and many more but there would have to be tons of editting and i doubt Vince will go through with that.

Another interesting note I forgot to bring up about the 96 Rumble is that on the match listing in the DVD set, it says the first match is Duke the Dumpster Drose vs HHH, but that match is absent from the DVD. It was part of the very first Free For All that aired on the TV guide channel before the PPV officially started. Course, I wouldn't have remembered that except that they mention it later and a quick clip of it.

HBK/Cena vs. MR. Kennedy/MVP- Smackdown 2/16/07

Batista/Undertaker vs. Rated RKO- Smackdown 2/16/07

I picked one up tonight too. I wish they would put more on the bonus discs. I did like both matches though, so I'm happy to have them.

There was something similar to that with the WWF Wrestlemania Box Set they put out through their magazine and website back in 1997 (WM's 1-13). The WM 12 tape box listed a match between the Bodydonnas and the Godwinns as wells as the Huckster VS Nacho Man thing, but neither one was on the tape. I think those both took place before the ppv started.

Thanks. If thats all, then I'll pass and just rent the disc.

I got my Rumble set today. The box is a little damaged, but overall it is a very well done set.

It actually seems better produced than the Wrestlemania sets. I'll start going through them soon, although I'm dreading '95, '99, and '03 (which aside from Angle vs. Benoit, sucked).

Angle VS Benoit made that ppv for sure! I love that match.

I didn't see this posted anywhere yet, but on my Rumble set, on the 2000 card after the Tazz/Angle match it lists "Irwin R. Shyster vs. The Undertaker" clear as day as if it happened. Is everyone's set like this?

SLeopold 03-21-07 07:19 AM

I got my set Monday and watched the '89 Rumble last night. It locked up and pixelated a bunch through about 45 minutes of the disc, including the first 20+ minutes of the Rumble, so that I can't watch Ax & Smash coming out. Does anyone know of a 1-800 number for WWE?

can someone tell me how to take a still screen shot from a dvd, like the one pictured above? as in, how do i go about capturing an image myself off one of my dvds? thanks for you help.

DVDChris 03-21-07 03:13 PM

you need a program on your computer that can do it. Such as PowerDVD.

dadaluholla 03-21-07 03:23 PM

Anybody else think it might be time for a part two of this huge thread? Maybe with the first post reserved for listing the upcoming release dates, etc?

I love this thread, I wish we had a board devoted entirely to wrestling DVD's. I tried to start a site once, wrestlingondvd.com, but it was alot of work.

Since WWE can't give you only the 1989 Royal Rumble disc itself, they will probably just send you a new Volume 1 and you just send back the one you have.

I remember i ordered the Flair DVD set from Amazon.ca back in 2003, and the 2nd disc with the 2/3 falls match with Steamboat froze for about 2-3 minutes, so emailed Amazon they they just exchanged it for me NO QUESTIONS ASKED, and didn't even charge me shipping for the new copy.

WWE will probably do the same in your situation.

I was in FYE today and noticed that they had Unforgiven 2006 packaged with a Trish DVD. Was this an FYE exclusive? If anyone knows I would appreciate it.

doctaheath78 03-21-07 10:22 PM

I believe is actually a buy 2 get 1 free sale but only for regular priced wwe dvds.

doctaheath78 03-22-07 12:04 AM

The FYE in the mall near where I work has it at Buy 1 Get 1 Free for regularly priced WWE DVDs. It is supposed to be Buy 2 Get 1 Free but for some reason they have a sign and are ringing up Buy 1 Get 1 Free at this location.

I'd say it's definitely against the rules to post about CrazyMax, considering it's a bootlegging website.
