And just an FYI, but Sam's has it as well, of course being a part of Wal Mart. $21.99 for both discs. And yes, it's some HBO doc and 1 other featurette. I don't think it's worth the buy.

Got mine at CC. No bonus disc. What was fun though was I had to go through 4 copies of the LE before I settled on a disc that wasn't in too bad of shape. I continue to be amazed at how poorly dvd manufacturing is. All of these copies were handled by the person, I think. On the edge, the same spot had a similar looking thumb print with a few scratches. The lady at the front would've let me go through their entire supply until I found one error-free but I got tired of opening them up only to find out the condition of the disc was getting worse everytime. Naturally the 2nd disc in all of them was in perfect condition. I have the worst luck with buying dvds.

Still, the dvd has some very cool packaging. It also comes with $3.00 off coupons for "The Island" and "Madagascar".

Picked up the 1 disc at Walmart during lunch, I hate Walmart they refuse to stock the 2 disc sets, instead they give you some crappy HBO making of disc. One cool thing got a coupon inside with $3 off of The Island.

A different "Pre-vis dealy" than the one that is found on the 2-disc Limited Edition?

I picked up the 2 disc at BB and got the screenplay book. The 2 disc was definately limited. There seemed to be 20 of the 1 disc to every one of the 2 disc. The girl ringing me up couldn't understand why the Screenplay book was free even though there was a big yellow sticker on the cover saying FREE to Reward Zone members. I had to tell her.

There were PLENTY of the 2-disc LEs at BB, but, yeah, there were WAY more of the 1-discs, so I assume that once the 2-disc is gone, that's it.

My Best Buy (Boston, MA) didn't have lithographs for The Polar Express, nor screenplay books for War of the Worlds -- nor was there a sticker on it indicating there would be. But I did use the $3 coupon found in Madagascar and $5 in Reward Zone rewards, ultimately paying $16.99 for the 2/d LE War of the Worlds. I figure the book is something that would eventually find its way into the trash anyhow, so I suppose it's no great loss.

Yeah, I noticed the book is listed in our system for this week priced at "$0.00" with a regular retail of "$19.99". So I "bought" one. I obviously can't have a Reward Zone membership, but I have no problem reaping its, er, rewards? Benefits!

Nice--I'll be grabbing that later today; between this lithograph and the WotW script, Best Buy has finally convinced me to become a Reward Zone member.

I'm still f'ing flabbergasted that Wal-Mart still has no reference on their website whatsoever for the WotW bonus DVD...WTF?

Would it be possible to get the disc at Wal-Mart and return it a few days later?

I have a question...on the 4th 'panel' of the LE dvd, there is a number on the bottom corner...is that what number the DVD is? Or is it just some odd number? Its on one side of the dvd as well as the back of the DVD. Hmmm...

One odd thing... once you take the plastic wrap off the LE (unless I'm missing it), there is no UPC code anywhere.

so is the WotW LE worth it?

I didn't love the movie, but did like the a/v a lot, but are the extras worth the whole package on this?

uh, why the heck would you purchase a more expensive 2-disc version of a movie you didnt like? So you can spot where Spielberg went wrong in all the special features? btw, i love this movie and think the entire package is great.
