Had to pull a Lenticular cover off of a fullscreen and put it on a widescreen... but got it. Very nicely done cover and the book is cool.

Ok, who exactly is selling this corpse bride McFarlane 2 Pack? I'm more than willing to buy that as well as the other one.

I don't really like buying dvds or cds at Walmart, but I just may make an exception this time. If I can find a widescreen edition.

I made the trek last night to see what I could find. They only had the full screen versions of the "Exclusive" set and they were all under lock and key. I waited five minutes for someone to open the door so I could sift through them, but they were indeed all fullscreen. I just went ahead and ordered the widescreen "exclusive" version off walmart's website. It really is an excellent slipcover and the book is a nice bonus.

I don't like the way they influence/bribe/force artists & their companies to change their music & movies as to have them available for sale in their stores.
Ultimately, I blame the artist for caving in, but I still don't like the idea that Walmart puts them in that position.

i got to say i am a sucker for Lenticular covers now and sure glad i got this one (it really is awesome and wonder if Tim himself did it). i am gonna keep it sealed though, since i got a standard already yesterday. maybe i will just keep the slipcase and sell the unopened with nice little illustrated book.

Yea I had to do the same. They only had 2 widescreen copies left. However, the cases were both in poor condition. So, I did the switch.

My Walmart must be awesome. I dont go there too often, but when I heard about the lenticular cover, I had to have it. They had about 10 copies both widescreen and fullscreen with the lenticular cover, and in very good condition!

Being the collector that I am, I bought two, one to open and one unopened.

The book that comes with the set is really nice. It's not a cheapie. I went in and asked them to price match Fry's at $14.99 and they agreed. They went to the case and got me a copy of the Walmart exclusive. I told the manager that they were different but he simply smiled and said "don't worry, I am one manager that takes care of his customers" and rung it up at $14.97.

That was nice of him!

went and picked up the exclusive wal-mart edition today. didn't have any problem getting them to price match their own sale (14.99). YMMV, but i've found at wal-mart a smile goes a long way towards getting a little bit of rhythm for their pricing on exclusives.

i don't think that the action figure set actually contains the dvd. i think its just to commemorate the dvd release ala those star wars sets that come out. i think ~$20 for two mcfarlane action figures and a dvd is a bit too good to be true

I know what you're talking about with regards to the music, but how are the movies changed?

I'm with you though, i don't care to buy DVD's from Wal-Mart either, although my reasons are different than yours.

Yep.. it appears it's just the figures. Still want it though. Can't find any retailer that is carrying it except some people on eBay.

not a limited supply, i just don't think the mo's at Wal-mart have realized that more of their customers are coming around to the prevailing opinion that fullscreen versions blow.

they'll probably be sold at store that sold the regular figures like hot topic, sam goody, suncoast, etc. it also probably won't hit shelves for another couple weeks at all and the b&m stores probably wont have too many. if you really want it, your best bet would be to find it online
