Anthony Daniels does do the voice but this disc is pretty much worthless. It's basically a montage of scenes from the movies (except episode 3, suggesting this was done as a TV promo originally) following Anakin and Luke through the films. The scenes from the films aren't even from the DVD versions as Sebastion Shaw still plays Anakin. Skip it, it has NOTHING you haven't seen in the films (except the droid narration).

Went to Walmart today and figured I'd get the bonus disc if it was the same price. It wasn't. It was 19.96 for the bonus disc set. Surprisingly, it was also 19.96 for the widescreen version without the bonus disc. The only version on sale for 14.96 was the fullscreen set. Or at least that's what the signs indicated. So I drove to Best Buy and got the lithograph. Its pretty ugly and I didn't really care one way or the other, but since it was free I picked it up with the DVD.

So am I the only one that went with the free collector's coin that came with the Target edition?
Wal-Mart ($20): Movie, Bonus DVD vs. Target($20): Movie, coin, Mockumentary DVD
So, for twenty bucks spent, I don't feel so bad for not knowing about the deal...

Litho for me. I despise Wally World.

I don't care if it's geared towards kids and is filler material, I had to go with the bonus disc. And it's 60 minutes long and comes in it's own case, unlike the Best Buy bonus DVD that would come in some cheap ass envelope glued to the side of the DVD. So the DVD is 60 minutes long and the lithograph is good for what? 60 seconds spent looking at it? Big whoop.

Stupid Wal-Mart!!!
I picked up the Widescreen version with bonus disc this morning, when I got home from work I open the shrinkwrap I was pretty upset to see that big gold sticker holding both disc while the movie was shrinkwrap the bonus disc was not, it was a pain to remove that ugly sticker off the bonus disc now I have a scruffy-looking cover on the bonus disc. Damn you Wally!! Damn you to hell. This will be the last time I ever buy a dvd with bonus disc from them. Should have got the coin instead at Target.

There was some residue left over from the sticker but nothing a little Goo-Gone couldn't handle.

To anyone that missed out on the bonus disc, let me say to you this: you're not missing out on ANYTHING. The 60 minutes of extra content does not mean 60 minutes of NEW material. About 15 minutes of that is new, and thats just the part where you see 3cpo and r2d2 standing around, while 3cpo is talking to you. I dont even think they used Anthony daniels for the voice, didn't sound like him. As far as I know, they coulda used Seth Green. The other 45 minutes are just short existing clips from all the films with 3cpo narrating it all.
Also the presentation of the menus are very poor, it looks like something i could do in Adobe Premiere in a few hours.
So to summarize, the disc is virtually uselessless as this is just a readers digest version of the the trilogies and nothing more.
Buy this bonus disc if...
1... you want to spend $5 on a dvd cover
2... you have an extremely short attention span or have kids with short attention spans and would rather watch the trilogies in the span of an hour.
3... you get turned on by 3cpo's voice.

How do you figure that it didn't sound like Anthony Daniels on "The Story of Star Wars"? Anthony Daniels will appear as C-3PO any time he's asked, as far as I know. He appeared in all six films, the "Droids" series, "Clone Wars", all three radio dramas and numerous other miscellaneous appearances, and it was definitely him narrating the "Story of..." DVD.
