Simpsons S6 question (sorry) NTSC version available WITHOUT the head?

Do all NTSC regions just have the Homer Head packaging for S6 or will it be released with the digipack any time soon?

According to this review of the R2 release (which has the digipack):

Clicky

and this link:

Clicky here

- the UK R2 picture is horrible and NTSC (since the DVD was transferred from NTSC master tapes) is the only way to see it.

Jesus, that's pretty damn awful! I've noticed that on other Simpsons seasons, as well as Futurama. For example, the characters can look highly pixelilated for a second. I guess this is from DVNR? Strange that it's such an expensive process, but the end result is rubbish. I didn't notice it so much on the Region 1 Season 6 set when I watched it.

Apparently the R1 features no DVNR. I dont know whether that was present on past R2 Season sets as I've only had the R1's.

I could just take a chance with the Head? Isnt there some sort of clear plastic acetate that goes over the top?

If the Region 1 has no DVNR (I can't verify that, but again, I didn't notice it), and you have a region-free player, I'd go for the Region 1 head, if the DVNR is that bad on Region 2. The head sucks balls, but you can order a replacement box, but it isn't the old-style box. Check out this thread:

It's probably for U.S./Canada customers only. It's a long thread, but the last few pages will have pictures of the replacement box. Again, the head is stupid, but if the image is that noticeably bad in Region 2, I say go for the head. The image is the important thing.

Seems to be for US/Canada residents only.
The Head it is then.
Interesting that S7 will come in a digipack OR the Head, so at least you have a choice.

So if you order S7 from Amazon, or somewhere online, how do you know which cover you'll get? They could send you either one.

They are SEPERATE products with SEPERATE product listings. Although at this time amazon doesn't have Artwork posted the two versions are easliy identifiable.

One says,

The Simpsons - The Complete Seventh Season (Collectible Marge Head Pack)

the other says,

The Simpsons - The Complete Seventh Season

I'm sure other online retailers will do or are doing the same.
