How did you get your hands on this movie? I thought that it wasn't coming out until the 11th.

It's been out in R2/R3 for some time. There's also an R0 out but it's cut.

OCT 2.
4.Halloween 4
5.Dog Soldiers
6.Re-Animator.

Total 6
94 to go.

I also went out and picked some horror flicks i've needed to own for awhile. I got Martin,Halloween(Criterion LD didn't survive my move, RIP), The Fog(got a free bag of Candy with that one).Candyman.
I'm trying to buy strictly horror for at least the next few weeks, so sorry to get off topic, is the Tombs of the Blind Dead set worth getting. I have the old AB double feature disc and love both films. Again sorry to get off topic.

Updated my list(post #79). I would like a ruling on Ichi the Killer. I would consider it a horror film, but I could see some seeing it as more of an action film. If the majority views it as an action film, then I'll delete it from my list.

This is hard. I've gotten in 4 just barely in 2 days. I have the most time on Mondays, Wednesday and Sundays. So hopefully I can get in at least 3 on those days and one every other day. We'll have to see what happens. I'm a full time college student and I work one day a week, but I think I can swing that I stay up till 3AM every day anyway.

Well, if you consider the IMDB an accurate source for identifying genres - it lists Ichi as a Comedy / Drama / Fantasy / Horror / Thriller. Personally, I would count it. It's definitely one of those films that's hard to categorize into one particular genre.

Hi Reaper,

I'm curious - what version of Web of the Spider do you have (if indeed you are viewing it on DVD)? This is one of my favorite obscure Euro horrors but I've only ever been able to find a pretty cut rate P&S version from Brentwood, which I broke down and bought for cheap on Ebay. I'd be curious if there is a decent OAR version of this out there.

I just picked up the original Castle of Blood, of which this is a remake, during the recent DDD Synapse sale. That one should be arriving any day now - I'm looking forward to watching and comparing it to the remake.

you know get over yourself with these "duplicate threads are lame". this one started out as mere challenges to one another and that was it. someone suggested just to have the lists.

considering there are no more than 7 "Serenity" threads in Movie Talk, i don't think this one was so out of line that you have to waste space on a post.

anyway,

"The Fly" CE (10/2-10/3)
"The Evil Dead II: Book of the Dead Edition" (10/3-started; 10/5- most likely finish)
