Encore is showing a horror movie at 8 pm every day until Halloween, for those interested. That should help some.

I'll jump in on this as well. Never gonna hit 100 but I'll try to get some good ones in.

The Grudge (10/1)
The Ring (10/2)

2 weddings in 2 weekends is going to kill me...but I plan on watching a movie a night. Luckily, most horror movies are right around 1.5hours which makes it nice to slip one in around 10pm before bed.

considering there are no more than 7 "Serenity" threads in Movie Talk, i don't think this one was so out of line that you have to waste space on a post.

Of course it started out as challenges/converstaion, it was still September, what did you expect before 10/1? Once it turned October the posts became lists, so your little rip-off thread was lame - it was asking for the exact same lists already being posted in this thread. Oh, but what do I know, someone suggested it, so that clearly justifies starting a dupe thread.

Moving on...

October 1
1.The Fog
2.The Thing

October 2
3.The Burning
4.The House on Sorority Row

October 3
5.Final Exam
6.Hell Night

I'd be curious if there is a decent OAR version of this out there.

I just picked up the original Castle of Blood, of which this is a remake, during the recent DDD Synapse sale. That one should be arriving any day now - I'm looking forward to watching and comparing it to the remake.
Yeah, I watched a poorly done pan and scan version (one of the worst I've seen, it was all over the place), as well. I picked it up last year at a Dollar Tree.

Updated my list(post #79). All movies watched are from my DVD collection. The next few days are going to be tough to get through any movies with the baseball playoffs starting.

Off Topic Bargain Alert: Amazon is offering some kick ass prices on some horror titles right now, especially on Asian horror. I just picked up Oldboy and A Tale of Two Sisters Deluxe Edition for $8.49 each. I should have them in time for the contest. Check out this thread for the link.

I could try, but I'd never watch anywhere near the amount that you all would. Plus, I expect my Yankees to go far.

I had no idea that there were so many sequels in the Children of the Corn series

question: Is Waxworks the R-rated cut of the film or the unrated version?

cool to finally see what you have in your video libary collection - I've been perusing your DVD Collection link - quite fascinating. At your rate, you'll easily leave all of us in the dust.

Thanks Giles....but this will get even more tight as we close in on the finish line. Sadly...the next week or so is my best chance for stacking up the viddies watched...then I'm back in and out of the hospital for tests, which not only takes up my time and energy, but makes me feel pretty crappy and in the mood to watch nothing. I'll keep trying though.

I have been very ill the last month or so and even though I have bought some dvds...I have failed to list them in my dvdaf database. It says something like 2,033 titles...but I have about 50 yet to add in. Maybe this weekend I'll get to it. I've even gotten a few emails asking why I stopped buying dvds.

Yeah....being ill AND being my own boss....I get quite a bit of viddey time.
