I wonder what this means for legitimate unrated stuff like Poison Ivy 3?
"unrated" in terms of the release of "Dodgeball" is just another way of saying 'we're too cheap to resubmit this to the MPAA'

Whether the new rating "must mean" we'll get a DVD remains to be seen. The new rating happened a few months after Disney announced and then cancelled a DVD in late 2003. The new rating was given in early 2004. It is over a year and a half since that new rating was given, and we have yet to see anything come of it.

Aha, I see; thanks. Jesus, I had no idea the Weinsteins produced this; it's been aeons since I saw the credits. Anyway, I, for one, hope this gets a proper release. Being such a cult movie coming out under Buena Vista, I just can't imagine it.

Sign me up too, I hope someone notes this thread and picks up the ball. It's guilty pleasure night apparently, I just commented on Solar Crisis, and now I'm ordering Demon Seed and Wild Palms which come out next week.

Awesome. Would be nice if they give it as great a treatment as they did for Dust Devil.

Ditto. One of those films that I stillwant to revisit from time to time. The soundtrack has a great mix of material, too.

Terrific! I usually try to avoid buying imports as I'd prefer an NTSC transfer, but I can't resist buying this one. A US release may never happen and I'm tired of waiting, and this release sounds really good.

Re: Hardware (Dylan McDermott) - Where is it?

R1 release is coming from Severin this fall - also on Blurry and with extras different from those announced from Optimum.
• Audio commentary
Deleted scenes
• Behind-the-scenes footage
Stanley’s never-before-seen hour-long Super 8 version

Re: Hardware (Dylan McDermott) - Where is it?

I remember watching this one night on HBO back when I was still in high school. Don't remember much about it, other than it was freaky and disturbing.

Seems like there's a "lost generation" of b-movies that came out in the late 80s/mid-90s that have seemingly vanished. They might have gotten a VHS release and some play on cable and then disappeared without a trace. Seemed like "Hardware" was destined to be one to be one these.

Thank you as well! I will probably pick this up instead of the Optimum Release, granted there aren't huge differences on release.

Re: Hardware (Dylan McDermott) - Where is it?

I have the red edition from Germany. Can not wait for the R1 release on blu-ray.

I almost ordered the UK release, but was unsure if it would play on my player.

Thanks for the heads up.

By complete coincidence, I came across this and five minutes later, this thread. Haven't read the whole thing though, so someone might have beaten me to it.

Yep, post just above, but thanks for posting anyway! There can't be enough Hardware love.
This brings me back to a time like Josh-da-man said when there were a lot of B- and C sci-fi movies. Not all good of course but still, a good time to be a 14-year-old.

That post is a couple of years old. It looks like the original davisdvd has ceased to exist and the domain was taken over by a squatter.
