I held off on buying the Superbit until I could find a good price/discount, so this is one occassion where it actually pays off! Usually I end up in the 'I just bought the other DVD and now they're announcing a newer better version' camp.

Show me a beautiful woman, and I'll show you a guy who is tired of screwing her...

Different consumers targeted? The recent re-release is a downgrade to foolscreen only. Hopefully, the new SE will be an upgrade.

I missed out on the BestBuy sale; I meant that I hadn't bought it all this time because it's usually $20+.

I actually upgraded to the Superbit from the previous version. I was willing to lose the extras for the better PQ and the DTS, and I'm glad I did, so I can't see me triple dipping

Seriously, and at what point are they going to release the SE? Next Summer? Sorry, can't go that long without this movie.

might double-dip on this one, depending on the extras and so on. great movie. anyone else think the current re-release cover of this movie is terrible? saw it the other day at Borders.

CD-Wow has the Superbit for $6.95 shipped if you go through the $2 discount link (just search for it on Google).

Are we still without an SE release?
I saw about to buy the green cover version the other day. Did someone post that the green cover is full-screen only, or is it a flipper with both versions like the original?

Full-screen only; another meaningless Columbia/Sony downgrade.

Sweet! I'm glad I held out on this film. It may be my favorite film that I don't own.

Well as attractive as most of these women are, looks are not everything. There's something called emotions and chemistry.

It is one of my favourite films. I look forward to a new treatment, but I am happy enough with my existing DVD. It will last me until Blu-ray.
