The "nice touches" on DVD thread

Not "easter eggs" or anything like that, just the cases where you think they made a little extra effort to make your viewing experience a little better.

What got me into thinking about this, was when I put my Heat Guy J DVD in for the first time today, as soon as it gets to the FBI Warning Screen, the Heat Guy J guy starts reading it in a menancing (albeit a little sarcastic) voice.

Any others?

Kind of like the Fight Club FBI warning, eh?

Not that this was something that helps the viewing experience, but I liked how the U2 Best-of 1990-2000 disc came in a case that had a placeholder for the bonus DVD in the LE CD that came out around the same time. I think I read there's a TV show set that has something like this, but I don't remember the show.

The kick ass menus on the Star Wars discs always brighten my day when I put one in the player.

The "choose a random ending" or "play all endings" option for Clue.

I like the Star Wars DVD menu also. I think one thing that really wowed me was back when Buffy Season 1 came out, the clear plastic packaging with the images behind it and the quality of the cardboard. I mean its common now, but back then I was wowed.

I absolutly love the menus for the new HIM dvd (love metal archives vol.1), transitions between menus is great.

vines growing and the sound of wind and leaves blowing through the air.

Also specially directed menus for a DVD is great like Rob Zombie's House of 1000 corpses.

Dead Zone Season 1 had a place holder for the original mail-away pilot.

The nifty commentaries by Mickey Mouse and Donal Duck on Fantasia 2000.

New interviews with Eddie Murphy, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, and Lisa Eilbacher on Beverly Hills Cop.

The Composure booklet inside How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days' Japanese release. Okay, it was in Japanese but it was nice to have it.

The menus on the Wayne's World DVDs capture the feel of the film plus you can select some of the programs.

The inclusion of screens from the video game adaptation of Big Trouble in Little China.

When the FBI warning comes up on the Rhino GI Joe season discs, they start drawing cartoon glasses and a beard on the guy in the picture. I thought it was pretty funny.
